DD has emptied the set of drawers that we used to use for all her craft stuff (one advantage of them getting bigger is that the toys get smaller (mp3 vs Polly Pocket, DS vs boxes of lego!) so she has more room in her cupboard for all that stuff now. So I've moved her set of drawers into the dining room and am bracing myself to clear out the craft room/office and move most of my stuff in there. I'll have a table to work on in there, so should get more done. However, imagine the biggest tip you possibly can, and that's the spare room currently, so wish me luck as I may get lost in there! We will need it as a functioning bedroom when DD's exchange kids start needing a room, so it does need doing.

DH got up early and went to car boot. speaking to him on mobile it seems he may be about £60 in profit. Yay!!
good job because I am slowly braving our finances and its not pretty.!!
He's also taken both sets of house keys so we are stuck at home for now. so cups of tea a plenty.lol.
kids stayed up really late making soup for bats last night in the semi-darkness. it involved much water from watering cans and soil and leaves etc. the we had mini sparklers in the dark. was great.
Em - big wow about the boat. oh and wow again.

Good day peeps, hope everyone is well and enjoying the gorgeous weather. It's hot here again but with a nice refreshing breeze thankfully, not quite as heavy as it was yesterday!

Instead of being out in the sun, I've decided today to tackle the house. Flylady proper is all fine and well, but I really want to have a big effort and then have an easier start to keeping on top of it. It's not what she recommends, but on a day like today when the sun is shining, I've flung open all the windows and am happy to clean clean clean. And declutter!! DD actually took me at my word the other night when I suggested a fling boogie in her room (which is beyond a pit) and that she had to find 27 things to throw out. I got home from work to find she had filled a black bag and I can actually see her bedroom floor!! :j So, working on my room today, have to lead by example lol, I might make it back at some point! My kitchen is a mess, but my sink is still shiny, amazing how whenever I use it for something I feel the urge to clean it out and dry it down..... could this actually be working??

Have a great day, whatever you choose to do!

Oh, and Em ......... wow!!

Em, you should see some of the yachts moored at the port here - there must be billions of euros worth. Bet they're hardly used, too.

Hello all, hope you're all loving the sun as much as me.

Only fly in the ointment is that some rat just hit my car in a car park. His car is fine, my wheel arch is crumpled. GGrrr! Was totally and blatantly his fault as he simply started reversing without even looking and I was stationery waiting to get out of the carpark. However he jumped out and started with an attitude saying it was 50/50. I just laughed at him. Now I've got to find out the rights and wrongs of car park accidents, and my stupid insurers' "24 hour helpline" gives out an office hours message.

So I'm going to ignore it all and go out in the garden cus I know the sun will make everything alright again.

Kittens have started roaming about the room now exploring, so got to be careful where I stand as there is a kitten just about everywhere I go, lol!

    Have a good day everyone.

    Ack, Joey, what a downer!

DD is gutting her room - she says she is aiming to throw out 70% of everything except clothes! (And presumably makeup, jewellery, shoes....) Everytime I go past there is another heap of stuff on the landing making its way to the bin!

The spare room is better than it was (that's not saying much!) and I've realised that the benefit of moving stuff from upstairs to downstairs is that it's making me think about whether I want/need it or whether it too can reasonably go in the bin. I've put one of the 3 drawers in the wheelie bin already (as the chest of drawers my craft stuff is in is falling to bits from being jammed with stuff for years!) so I must be making some progress.

Off to make a cuppa and then dive back into the mess.
