*waves* Evening Dribblers how the devil are we all today?

I'm not long home, took the family out for a meal to celebrate DS's 18th birthday  I have no idea where the years have gone I swear! He's away off up town with his cousins, so I stayed back at my parents where we opened a bottle of champers that DS wouldn't have appreciated haha! Had a lovely evening, now I'm home alone (well, kitties for company) and feeling rather old!!

    Hope everyone is well x

    Part of the Furniture
DD is on the lounger in the garden (theoretically) revising for her end of year exams next week (and yes, she's factor 30'd big time). I suspect the revision won't last very long though!

I need to do cleaning and tidying (I know, I say it every day!) and maybe another bit of gardening in the afternoon. The garden is starting to look much tidier, so I'm quite inspired to continue with it : I just wish the green bins were collected every week in the summer rather than every fortnight.

DH is off out for stuff to throw on a BBQ later.

M&P, that would be brilliant, but only if you're sure, it would be a great help as its amazing how it all adds up, even although its going to be middle of summer up in the glens you can get 4 seaons in one day so have got myself thermals, waterproofs, gaitors, the only thing i'm not looking forward too is the ticks, just as well i smoke i'll just have to burn them out and then drench with surgical spirit! Pal hates creepy crawlies and just about sh*t herself when i mentioned adders and grass snakes! thinking of doing a charity calendar too with the photos i'm hoping to take, the scenery is stunning. but best of all no phone signal - peace and quiet may just stay there!

good luck with the driving, it opens up a whole new life - its also the start of a fat a**e as you tend to jump in the car all the time - so beware!

Absolutely sure, like I said they were only sitting the cupboard waiting for me bother listing them somewhere, consider it my contribution!

MummyandPaige, if the size 7 boots are a largish 7 I'd be interested - could do with some boots! Keep thinking I'm going to hurt my feet when I'm digging :) went past someone in their garden cutting branches off their tree and cheekily asked if they needed them; now have some lovely bits of wood to make stuff with! Going to sort the boy's bedroom out now, wish me luck, it's knee-high in Lego xx

Sure, no problem! Helps the decluttering effort!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DmLIUKZB7I woohoo! Spent all day yesterday down on the beach and off there again in an hour. Mum and Dad are coming down for the day and DD1 is sooo excited, she woke up a 3am asking if Grandad was here yet! She is a proper little grandads girl, no noe else gets a look in!

Money making is out the window for the weekend, life is just for living!

On a more sombre note, OH won't be joining us as he is booked for an ash scattering and was running around the house at 8am trying to suss out what a manky smelly fisherman wears to do such a job and what hapens if the wind changes and the boat gets covered in ash.

Enjoy the sunshine everybody, money making hats are to be put back on tomorrow!

ps. Em, wow a boat, that is sooo cool! Curiosity is niggling though, what size is it and what sort of engine? also, to compare what you got with the sort of type and prices that are on the market atm is www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk, well done though! If you need any help with the bits and pieces just give me a shout. Also, depending on size and weather it is a tidal river or not, you may need to look into safety certs.

Jo, Toots and everyone else, glad to see you are letting your hair down and enjoying the simple pleasures!

Off to slap a bottle of suncream on the kids and head down the beach before the bl00dy tourists take up all the good spots, inconsiderate people! I have sat in this dump all winter waiting for the sun, then they come here and pitch up and take all the best spots leaving me to the stones! lol I love the effect the sun has on my mood!

    Bye xx
