Brilliant - thanks jo, that's sorted it! I'm quite bugged I missed the "options" bit as I felt as though I'd looked at everything! I must have used a "man-look":jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0

Night jo, thanks again x
Sounds like they'll miss you Even, it's nice to leave on a high like that.
Can't believe how different this week at work has been to last week at work. I really do think the sunshine gives people a personality transplant, including me! I have felt really smiley all week and have been doing my best to make other people smile too, and it seems to have worked.
Lost another pound at my weigh in today and got my first shiny 7! For some reason I thought I would get a star, not sure why, and was a bit disappointed - can't believe I felt disappointed at what shape sticker I was given. I've reverted to 4 years old!! :rotfl::jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0 -
Not sure what this will be like, but got this on our intranet at work today. Possibly a flash in the pan, but sounds as though there are some good rewards for buying and sellling.
(Just thought I'd mention in case anyone gets upset by this - I have no connection to the site mentioned and am simply posting it in case it is of use to my fellow dribblers).
Castoff eBay – Blastoff to Castoff
Early June will see the launch of a brand new UK auction site. Along with England’s hopes in The World Cup castoff.net will go live with its’ brand new state of the art UK only auction site to tackle the winner of all the previous campaigns – eBay.
Marcus Down, CEO of castoff.net is hoping to entice disgruntled eBay users away with a series of tempting offers.
As well as fees being markedly lower than eBay’s charities are welcomed for free for ever, buyers are rewarded with loyalty gifts and sellers are rewarded with an interesting cash back thank you scheme.
“Users are fed up of the small print and hidden eBay fees, the castoff offering will be completely transparent and one in the eye for the American giant”
“EBay are moving away from the online auction model and making it harder for the small companies and individuals to make a profit selling on their sites.”
With the current economic climate driving more people to search for extra income the timing of the launch of castoff.net could be a welcome shot in the arm for the British public.
Castoff.net seem determined to take auction buying back to its’ roots, placing more emphasis on individual traders and the original auction process.
The UK auction site certainly seems to have a strong strategy in place with the cash rebate scheme giving users a percentage of their fees back and lower costs. They have excellent branding with a very visible set of propositions.
An early glimpse of castoff.net can be had on their newly formed facebook page which has already created quite a stir.
Castoff.net believes that by ensuring the security of their site and offering first class customer service they will be providing what buyers and sellers want. This combined with a bright and cheerful, easy to navigate site, should ensure that come June they will start making a real impact on the market place.
Launch date is scheduled for the 1ST June 2010.

Well I hope that works....ebay are crooks
Emailed parcellady and said I have lodged complaint with company and I had not stated next day delivery
She said thanks but i can complain i just want the details also she said that she expected next day with the cost of postage and if it was longer postage should have been at reduced price of £10
The parcel weighed around 2 stone
Getting really annoyed with her now shes insisting on me giving her my invoice
Trouble with ebay is there are safeguards for buyers against dodgy sellers, but none for sellers, buyers have you by the short and curlys
My OH was asked to reimburse an obvoius scam, buyer even gave false tracking no...OH refused and has now had his paypal hijacked...not fair0 -
they sound a bit spammy to me tbh - positivly reviewing themselves on ciao when the auction site doesn't even really exist yet http://www.ciao.co.uk/Online_auction_site__Review_5909373 and co-opting ehow to plug how wonderful they are http://www.ehow.com/how-did_101955_buy-sell-online-cheaper-ebay.html "And suddenly I find myself listening to a man I've never known before,Telling me about the sea..."0
