Of course it will increase regulation ,thats the whole point, there are too many companies that dont pay enough/ the right tax so YOU have to pay more out of your taxes

Dont you think that companies should pay the going rate for government services or do you think you and me should subsidise it?
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

This will be a field day for tax lawyers, far from certain it will raise billions. It will certainly increase regulation and red tape.

Just take a look at what happened to the UK bookmakers. Extra tax, so they all left for Gibraltar.

The best way to avoid/evade tax is not be to registered in a country where you pay it!

I think that we should get what we can from companies...including tax, but keep them in UK. A pay off for tax might be possible my making sure conditions remain favourable in other ways...but I don't know what plans surround that are.

Its like when we (rightly) pour scorn on party support from people living abroad...not thinking we want these rich people back and paying taxes here...not staying away. A truly good system would try and do that somehow......

I think any future government should be looking to simplify the tax system, not complicate it further. The tax code has doubled under Labour, it's now the longest in the world.

It's all very well complaining about evil corporations that don't pay enough tax, and it would be nice to crack down on avoidance but you have to remember that when the government complicates the tax system and increases regulation it ends up hitting small businesses disproportionately hard, because they can't afford to spend as much time/money understanding the new system or paying commercial rates for regulatory help as the big boys. I know someone that runs a small business and their experience of HMRC is an aggressive attitude of guilty until proven innocent, which I'm sure isn't uncommon and is not helpful when you're trying to run a business.

Yeah if the taxation/regulation system causes companies to do that, it's clearly failed - they now pay 100% less tax to the Exchequer!

India, Hong Kong and China would welcome the major banks with open arms.

Probably because small business is one of the worst culprits for blatant tax evasion, particularly family run ones.

Larger corporations play by the rules but seek holes in them.

Well it's a small high street law firm, I think they should be given some respect!

Er not go for the inheritance tax giveaway so they have to find that cash from the less well off ???

Er not slash and burn for the sake of it and doing what theyve always done now not creating a double dip?

The proposed cut in inheritance tax helps 9 million families avoid this tax of envy and not a single millionaire as by definition their estates will be worth more than £1million anyway.

Double dip is going to happen anyway. No government can continue to pour money into the economy like this government has. That money has got to come from somewhere. Every pound borrowed is a pound taken out of future growth.

Great to see selfish envy is alive and well.

    AND

For Rochdale Pioneers it is. He's getting his unions banner ready.

I think you have jumped to a few errant conclusions. As a non-union higher rate tax payer I am quite sure that I would be personally better off under the Tories. I just don't want to shaft other people whist doing it.

Are solicitors any different to the rest of the population?
