I am Brighton Kemptown but I thought we just get one MP for whole area?

Nope - I remember researching this a while back! ;)
You've got two constituencies; Brighton Kemptown is very likely to go Conservative. Brighton Pavilion is the one that everyone's eyes are on. Currently a Labour MP, his vote has almost completely evaporated, and the Libs don't have a chance. It's considered neck and neck between Conservative and Green, but has been changing quite a lot because of the profile that Caroline Lucas has had, alongside the developing position of the Green's as an environmentally-minded old labour. Unashamedly high taxation, compared with the others, so some of the LibDem & new-Labour vote is going Conservative rather than to Green. But then there is a high gay vote, and there was a spot of bother with the Bed & Breakfast gaffe. There's one other constituency where the Green party are mounting a campaign, so they have been running the largest campaign of all the parties in Brighton P.

So you won't get to vote for the constituency in question - but Brighton is one of the hotspots of the election.

If the Tories don't win, I warn you not to trust the police or expect justice, I warn you not to speak freely especially to the children, I warn you to expect your children to be indoctrinated not taught in schools, I warn you to expect being hated if you are white and male, I warn you never to disrespect the ferals, I warn your that Shariah Law is coming to England, I warn you that you will judged to have committed crimes against the State and no defence will be allowed.

So basically, if you're generally terrified of everything, vote Tory.

It's not the most positive electoral programme I've ever seen.

We only had one candidate who lived in the seat being contested. Fortunately he represented the party I want to vote for also.

One lived about 40 miles away, why would I want somone who did not live here to represent my interests?

Nice to see no BNP candidate in B+ H.

Currently Labour but Labur site says it's close between Lab and Tory.
I wish I was in Pavilion ward....still a big Green vote this end of town too so who knows?

Brown's message, hold very tight to nurse for fear of finding something worse! It's not the most positive electoral programme I've ever seen.

If you prefer not to have England 'progressed' into a Socialist utopia vote Tory

It's almost impossible to vote for who will be the best for your particular area unless either (a) you know the local candidates v well personally, or (b) you have very specific local issues which certain local candidates have promised to address, eg the closure of a local hospital, say.

For most people, neither of those apply.

I think the real issue in deciding who to vote for isn't local v national, it's tactical v conscience.

I once spent all day campaigning. And then voted against the candidate I'd campaigned for, as I did know two of the candidates, and rated one over the Conservative. Felt rather good, to be honest - I'd done my party bit, but my vote was mine!

I think Brown's past it. I'm sure he'd fall over without that nice red-headed lady close behind him all the time.

I remember :D My old Dad has been working his socks off in his area as it is a close call. My mother has been stuffing envelopes furiously but won't do canvassing as she get's a bit scared when people don;t chare her adoration for Cameron.

Well, I haven't had one knock up so far from either. Gutted I can't vote for Lucas but do you think the Green my end of town stands a chance?
