I still don't really understand - no one I've spoke to can give me a straight answer ...

... do (or should) we vote for who will be the best representative of our area? Or which national party best suits our general beliefs?

    Which is most important?

I'm still undecided BTW. Will be lib or lab.

Incidentally, I like Martin's current poll, on which party you most want not to get in - pleased to see that the number of anti-Tories is considerably higher than the number of those planning to vote Tory - in any poll.

    Where is this poll? :D

It's almost impossible to vote for who will be the best for your particular area unless either (a) you know the local candidates v well personally, or (b) you have very specific local issues which certain local candidates have promised to address, eg the closure of a local hospital, say.

For most people, neither of those apply.

I think the real issue in deciding who to vote for isn't local v national, it's tactical v conscience.

Though obviously, you then get the potential situation where everyone has voted for a candidate they don't realy like just to get the other guy they liked even less out, whilst the candidate they all actually preferred gets no votes. :(

If the Tories don't win, I warn you not to trust the police or expect justice, I warn you not to speak freely especially to the children, I warn you to expect your children to be indoctrinated not taught in schools, I warn you to expect being hated if you are white and male, I warn you never to disrespect the ferals, I warn your that Shariah Law is coming to England, I warn you that you will judged to have committed crimes against the State and no defence will be allowed.

Vote national. Your voice needs to be counted. In the current climate no vote is wasted as politics may well have reached a watershed. With the main political parties no longer being representative of the population of the UK.

Son just told me Brighton could nhave a Green MP? I have tried to google and nothing came up. If it's a real possibility then that's me decided....I have voted Green a long time ago but was a 'lost' vote.

I am torn. Cameron is best for my kids but GB for us but Green would suit me down to the ground......oh ....decsions decisions

I can't see how GB can be best for you FC unless you've had a career change in the last few weeks :D

We could always toss a coin.

The problem is the all seem the same but once we elect them they aren't.
