BP - off the hook ? ...and a BUY ?

Probably oppurtunity won't last long, they are scheduled to start pumping mud (with a 30,000HP machine) for top kill on Sunday but my guess is they will start when ready.0

Edging towards the top of the best buy tables £5 and I think I may be tempted, having said that the last time I bought BP it was last year @ £4.38 and they didn't have a massive oil spill to contain.
As well as this disaster they've had alot of success since then as well as a generally higher oil price. Set one off the other and the price seems more reasonable
I think 4.95 is support maybe so I bought some at 5.06 today as it doesnt pay to wait for absolute bottoms usually. I doubt they will bounce massively any time soon really but 5.52 seems reasonable this year
An irritated White house spokesman takes questions including suggestions BP should be taken over by government as per AIG

Excellent stuff. Will the oil still be BP's property when the rednecks have soaked it all up for them?

Some very nervous trading today and a lot of Americans are very hot under the collar. The top kill is the best hope so far.0

1echidna, was going to press the thanks button to agree but it is gone. US sentiment towards BP also not good today, something to watch out for.
Yep, Fullstop, spam button gone too.
Thought 1echidna had fiddled with the thread to make it look more like BP. But there is green everywhere so guess it must be the website;)
