A BP engineer and Obama walk into a bar. Suddenly they see a tar ball laying on the ground of the Bar, and both try to pick it up as fast as they can. Oil is oil you know, and oil is money.

They both start discussing to who gets the tar ball, and after a while, the BP engineer gets a idea!

What if we kick each other in the nuts as hard as we can. And the one lest standing gets the ball.

Obama (former High school socker player in Nigeria) thinks I'LL WIN THIS FOR SURE!!! I'll even let him go first.

So, the BP engineer stepst back, starts running, and KICKS OBAMA IN THE NUTS! So hard, you can actually hear his nuts CRACK!
But Obama is doesn't want to go through is knees and with tears in his eyes and his nuts in his throth he starts yelling to the BP engineer! AAAAaaarrh, THE F***** HURT, BUT THRUST ME, I'M GOING TO BREAK YOURS!! And after 30 minutes Obama is able again to move and positions himself to kick the Engineers nuts.

But then the BP engineers look to Obama and say... you know what Obama?.... you can have the tarball... and walks away.

Flow rate seems a bit less ?

BP (BP-) has increased the volume of oil it is capturing as it battles to contain the major oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico amid mounting pressure from the US government.

The FTSE 100-listed oil major said it was collecting 3,000 barrels of oil and some 14 million standard cubic feet of gas per day through its riser insertion tube tool containment system - up from the 2,000 barrels of oil figure reported 48 hours ago.

The oil is being stored and gas is being flared on the drillship Discover Enterprise, some 5,000 above on the sea surface.

The higher figure came as BP bowed to demands from the US government to broadcast live images from the leaking well on the internet.

Flowrate is distinctly less, oil/gas drifting out rather than billowing. My guess is less than 1,000b/d.

Silly duffer from Purdue thinks it is all crude oil (and nobody has bothered to put him straight!?) I saw him on video and he definitely has not allowed for the fact that this is a low density (probably about 0.6 specific gravity) supercritical fluid (pressure around 2,500 psig) containing methane, ethane, propane, butane as well as crude oil. They are flaring a great deal of gas associated with this crude.

Edging towards the top of the best buy tables £5 and I think I may be tempted, having said that the last time I bought BP it was last year @ £4.38 and they didn't have a massive oil spill to contain.
'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher

Quite fancy some black toes myself, but at a buy limit of £4.50 I may be disappointed:(
