Cameron would give to the very richest by raising the inheritance tax threshold as soon as he can.
Cameron would take from the poorest by getting rid of the proposed National Insurance changes which would have reduced the NI paid by anyone earning £20,000/year or less (and increased it for the rest, but by less than £40 a year for someone on £25,000).
Cameron would raise the retirement age to 66 from 2016, forcing someone who is 58 now to work an extra year (unless they are rich enough to be able to retire without needing the state pension).
Cameron will cut too far too fast and the country will be in ruins as interest rates rise and the economy folds like a pack of cards.
Never voted Labour in my life, but anything to keep Cameron out.0 -
This General Election as those before it is really a class war. The Conservatives are THE PARTY OF THE WEALTHY thus a MINORITY. Therefore in order to win they must trick the MAJORITY by hiding that fact as much as possible!
Their favourite way of doing this is basically pretending we are all the same (Classless society speeches if I recall.)0 -

Though I can understand your frustration baldy_pete, I can't agree with your proposed action. We are privileged to live in a democracy - millions of people around the world have absolutely no say on how their laws and taxes are made and used. I totally agree that ours is a far from perfect system but it's the only system we have and spoiling ballot papers will not change that. We get a chance once every five years, apart from the rare referendum, to have our say and IMHO to waste it is at best silly and at worst dis-respective to our constitution.

Perhaps baldy_pete lives in the Chingford & Woodford Green constituency where there is actually a candidate called "None of the Above"0 -
I told every bring myself to vote for the Tory party.
I have had deal with their councillors on a professional base, there is an air of entitlement to power about them and it is just the same with their MP's. It is my opinion that they get this air due to a large number of their member coming from the 7% of this country that go to private school.
I would vote Labour if I lived in area where they had a chance but I do not, so I will vote Liberal Democratic today.
I want to vote for a party that has social justice in its DNA not a green-wash and PR spin of nicest. You have to do just look at what they did not do the last time the Tories were in office. To suggest that they are now a party of social justice is a lie. They what to replace rights with charity and 'Big Society' and 'Low Taxes for the Rich' will result in an unfair society!:mad:0 -

I've just re-read this thread - my post on page 2 got more 'Thanks' than any other. Perhaps that's because it's the truth - not ideological rubbish.
Whatever you believe - go and vote. Hopefully, tomorrow we'll have a new start.0 -

(No it wasn't Americas fault, nor was it 'global' - it was this Labour government)
Not global?????????????????????????
Right then if Gordon Brown is so powerfull that he alone can cause the collapse of financial institutes worldwide then he gets my vote!!!!
Wow, he must be the most intellegent man on this earth!!
Well done Gordon!!! You alone caused the collapse of the Icelandic banks, Leaman Bros must be cursing you right now and as for Greece - well please never go there without a body guard, they will be after your blood!!!
Anyone who is misguided enough to truely believe that this one man alone is really to blame should not have the right to vote!!0 -
Would have liked to vote for not wanting BOTH Tory & Labour.
Labour because like the bankers Brown has had his chance and should now get off the money go round.
Tories because it seems to be business as usual - benefit the rich & privileged.
The mean wage is something like £23,000 pa. So the middle class are NOT those on £100,000 plus as Labour would have us believe. Nor do we have the backup of £30 million as Cameron does (no idea what it would mean to have to decide between new shoes or food).Truth always poses doubts & questions. I think the Conservatives are much like double cream, they're rich, thick and full of clots!:p0

Having just read the whole of this post I am amazed at the silliness of the average voter!
If your unemployed - you will have to get a job or your benefits will be cut.
If your poor - its your fault - I was very poor only 8 years ago but I made a decision to get better - I'm not rich now but my life is in my hands not this governments.
If your a single mother living on benefits because child care is too expensive under all govs you'll probably stay the same.
If your retired under a conservative gov you'll be better off then you are with Labour
And if your well off you'll be even better off because having money allows you to make more - I dont think raising the death tax threshold by £350k for a couple is going to affect just millionaires - anyone living in and around London could find in 10-15 years in that bracket with their estate so why would any of you want to give the Gov another 40% of your already overly taxed income??
My hope is that we get a Gov who listens to the voter, who sorts out immigration, gets tough on crime, reduces the 5 Million people on the dole and incapacity benefit, gets our troops out of a war thats costing us taxpayers billions and finally can answer why we pay the european union £40million a day for our involvement!
Cameron will get my vote because the heigh of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result - dont dwell on what happened with Thatcher 20 years ago - the world and our country earns far more now in tax revenues then ever, we all agreed to pay an extra 1% uncapped NI a few years ago to get the NHS working - so far the wards are full of people who steal our services but ever paid a penny in!
It is time for change, the Conservatives have some very experienced politicians in their ranks its not just about Cameron and Osbourne!
We have to move on - whatever happens we ARE in for tough times for the next 4-6 years and I'm emigrating for sure if we don't get a change of government.
rant over have a happy voting day!
