Glad I could help. I dont think it is rocket science you just need to mentally move out of the flat now and visualise yourself in that house. I truly believe that you can make this happen. Have you viewed the other house yet. If not book an appointment and get over there. It will make you more determined. I had a friend once who did that and ended up selling her flat to the people who were selling the house she wanted. Turns out they were looking to downsize:rotfl: So what is for you wont go by you.
It is always a stressful time moving house but again I believe that it doesnt have to be. We get stressed because we think that we should be. I suggest that you start packing boxes now. It will help with the letting go. Then when that viewer comes in you can feel confident that they will love it. Talk to your neighbours and let them know what you want to do. One of them might know somebody.

Hi - yes, already viewed the house which is the reason my flat is on the open market.
The young couple (who will be buying this flat;)) didn't make contact this afternoon - however I reakon the Universe is likely to be in a different timezone to the UK......although, I have to tell you all, that the cheeky monkey that it is has only gone and put ANOTHER potential "forever house" our way:) Needs lots of TLC but being an MSE Universe it's coming in at £20K cheaper!!!!

I had thought I'd pretty much had a clear out prior to putting on the market but you know what? my "Monica Cupboard" is telling me a different story:o sooooooo... car boot sale next weekend here we come:o Anyone who's in Tayport on Sunday 15th come and buy my[STRIKE] tat[/STRIKE] quality products:rotfl:

That made me laugh so much. I used to be called Monica by my work colleagues. Personally I dont see what the issue is with having my herb and spice cupboard in alphabetical order.

I think I've started to come up with some kind of plan for my '100 Day Challenge'. I'm away next week and I've worked out that when I get back on 19th August, I'll have 67 days left starting on the 20th....can I still join?

Course you can - the more the merrier to report in all their success during and after.

The main part of my challenge is based very much around health and exercise. I'm going to start doing slimming World again, though not go to a class cause I just don't get on with them and I'd rather save the money!

My challenge is having to pay for someone to babysit the boys as well - means that I would pay MORE for the fees and babysitter than we spend on food on a good week. I find it harder to keep it up on my own- we can cheer one another on.

I'm also going to exercise everyday, starting with just 10 minutes, to get myself in the routine, but working my way towards 30 mins a day. I have a cross trainer so I'll be using that.

I've just put a new plug on the treadmill. i am going to start running for a minute and then add a minute every time I do it -trying to get up to an hours running 3 times per week.

I'm also going to cut out alcohol...(yikes) I think my 'social' drinking has crept up to being a bit too daily for my liking, so I'm going to stop for the length of the challenge with the plan to bring it back in on weekends only and in a slightly more restricted way. Unless of course I take a liking to being 'tea total'!!

Never really got back into drinking again after Bfeeding the bubs - but i did enjoy the champagne at the wedding. good luck with that - think of the syns you will save too!!!!

A smaller part, though no less important, is decluttering. Unfortunately most of the clutter isn't mine so it's a bit of a 'softly, softly' approach! The garage and garden shed are particularly horrendous so I'd like to get those done at the very least.
I have a list of DIY that needs to be done for each room but I think that's for a different challenge :)

............and in this you will have to join the club. Its amazing how many of us have opted to sort out our environments dugin theis challenge.

The third (small) part is getting myself into a routine. I'm starting a degree course in September and want to get myself organised so that I have time for study, time for the house, time for the family, time for my husband and time for myself (not necessarily in that order!)

Whew!!!!!!!!! SuperMom!!!!!!!! whats the degree in BTW?

So, I think that's it. I look forward to hearing how you all do, though I'm unsure whether I should be putting my 'results' on here or on a diary of my own....

Loads if us keep our own diary's - but its lovely when people pop in to keep us abreast of their successes. Keeps us all motivated.

This afternoon I am child-free (Grandma has them)

So I've decided to undercoat my front door to make it welcomming for the new family who are going to buy my house.

After that I will shabby chic'ing some tables I think.

Hi Memory girl My degree is Accounting and Finance. The plan is to become an accountant. My children are much older 16,15,13 & 12 so it makes things a bit easier cause they are pretty self sufficient.

We can most definitely keep each other motivated on Slimming World. Like you I struggle to keep on track on my own, but don't really like the classes...all that clapping...!

I shall start my diary when I get back but until then I'll stick around here to cheer you guys on and then pop in regularly to keep you updated!

My ultimate plan is to move areas when I finish my degree in 3 years so the house needs to be sorted out by then. Decorating and everything. I was trying to work out how many lots of '100 days' I've got till then and then focus on certain things each time....

I'd love to see pictures of your place when you done. I'm a bit of a bloke when it comes to decorating etc and move towards minimilism/Ikea...
