So the weekly update on the 100 day challenge.

Weight loss is still going well, I have now lost nearly 9lbs. I did find it more difficult this week but I suppose if it was easy I would have done it long ago. On the positive side the exercise is getting easier, they say you have to do something 21 times before it becomes a habit and I've now gone on the exercise bike for 10 minutes every morning 21 times and it is becoming part of my routine, not always a welcome part but something I'm beginning to take for granted.

On the house front I had the gasman in on Monday who says he can't fit the fire until I have a builder in to fit the fireplace & replaster the chimney breast but I don't want to have the builder in until I have had the house revalued (I'm buying my ex out- no point in having it valued after the improvements) and self respect won't let me have the valuer in until he can at least walk easily around every room.
So this weekend's task is to blitz the attics which is not an easy job. We started on DD2's room on Wednesday and have already removed 3 bin bags of rubbish, three carriers of resaleable books and two large boxes of books which will probably go to the charity shop.

Couldn't have put it better myself. The last few weeks have been a real eye-opener for me. I've always believed in karma and reaping what you sow etc and the proof is in the pudding (well these boards ;))

Hope you get an offer very soon NP - well you know you will now :)

In all honesty, I was starting to stress slightly:o......the flat's only been on the market for 6 weeks, however I was getting worried that me and the kids would lose out on a house we viewed which is pretty darned perfect!

Trust and believe....trust and believe....trust and believe.

    Thank you

Glad I could help. I dont think it is rocket science you just need to mentally move out of the flat now and visualise yourself in that house. I truly believe that you can make this happen. Have you viewed the other house yet. If not book an appointment and get over there. It will make you more determined. I had a friend once who did that and ended up selling her flat to the people who were selling the house she wanted. Turns out they were looking to downsize:rotfl: So what is for you wont go by you.
It is always a stressful time moving house but again I believe that it doesnt have to be. We get stressed because we think that we should be. I suggest that you start packing boxes now. It will help with the letting go. Then when that viewer comes in you can feel confident that they will love it. Talk to your neighbours and let them know what you want to do. One of them might know somebody.

So I might meet the man of my dreams if I visualise him? coo.....sounds fun, lol. So if I visualise the exact opposite of my exOH and the boyf's who have followed after, he might appear :)

    Hi MG
Sounds like you've had a good couple of days, well done to all your proteges!
I like your visualisation techniques for your house, I have just applied them to mine which has really shown how much I have to do but it is inspiring in a way.

I know what you mean - i've now got a very long list of what needs doing in this house in order to get it ready for the next family.

but on the positive side - i do have a list, and loads that can be done with no money.

I just have to remember that this is about setting an intention - the TAKING ACTION :rotfl:

I think I've started to come up with some kind of plan for my '100 Day Challenge'. I'm away next week and I've worked out that when I get back on 19th August, I'll have 67 days left starting on the 20th....can I still join?

The main part of my challenge is based very much around health and exercise. I'm going to start doing slimming World again, though not go to a class cause I just don't get on with them and I'd rather save the money!
I'm also going to exercise everyday, starting with just 10 minutes, to get myself in the routine, but working my way towards 30 mins a day. I have a cross trainer so I'll be using that.
I'm also going to cut out alcohol...(yikes) I think my 'social' drinking has crept up to being a bit too daily for my liking, so I'm going to stop for the length of the challenge with the plan to bring it back in on weekends only and in a slightly more restricted way. Unless of course I take a liking to being 'tea total'!!

A smaller part, though no less important, is decluttering. Unfortunately most of the clutter isn't mine so it's a bit of a 'softly, softly' approach! The garage and garden shed are particularly horrendous so I'd like to get those done at the very least.
I have a list of DIY that needs to be done for each room but I think that's for a different challenge :)

The third (small) part is getting myself into a routine. I'm starting a degree course in September and want to get myself organised so that I have time for study, time for the house, time for the family, time for my husband and time for myself (not necessarily in that order!)

So, I think that's it. I look forward to hearing how you all do, though I'm unsure whether I should be putting my 'results' on here or on a diary of my own....
