Hi Helen, the DVD is really interesting, thats funny, I started waching mine again yesterday. I had it about a year ago and my life has changed since then. I got it out again as I thought I needed a refresher. It's even better this time, all I have learnt from my hypnotherapy studies back up the theory of the secret. You can choose how you feel, and that changes your life.
I started doing the affirmations and they are working already. I have been saying 'I love my work and earn a good living from it'. I have just been on e-bay and sold 4 buy now items over night, I have never woken up to that before! I also say 'I love and accept myself, I release all negativety from my being' .
I feel so much happier today, I hope it has the same effect on you :D

Its funny how you can go back to something and get a different message. Some people who have talked to me about the secret have poo-poohed it - "load of american claptrap" sort of stuff. some have found it interesting - and some (like us here) have decided

"I want change in my life i'm going to embrace it"

Guess which group are finding it easier to get the message of personal responsibility - and which are still allowing others to chart the course of their lives?

    mmmmmmm???

But WOW knitwit - waking up to three sales!!!! Bet you are on cloud 99

Have a great day today Memory Girl.

    I love your affirmations Knitwit.

I am beginning to think that there are scientific principles behind this law of attraction, that are yet to be discovered. It seems to involve thought impulses translating themselves into their physical equivalent. It's all very interesting, and Einstein, the great physicist, didn't rule it out.

Marconi's "friends" had him taken into custody, and examined in a psychopathic hospital, when he announced he had discovered a principle though which he could send messages through the air, without the aid of wires or other direct physical means of communication, but who was right.

Good thing we are in the company of open minded people here :rotfl:.

I've now completed the Napoleon Hill list and started my affirmations last night and this morning, and for the first time ever, I truly believe that I am going to change and reach the goals that I ran away from 20 years ago.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

Well - feeling really excited today!!!!

Partly because i was woken this morning by a very excited 10 year old clutching a bag of clues to have a treasure hunt around the house to find his present.

i had saved a plastic tub of "ferrero rocher" chocolates that went for half price after Christmas and hid them all around the house - and wrote mildly cryptic clues on post-its and put them in a gift bag.

DS1 and DS2 then went haring around the house for 30 minutes collecting chocolates into the bag and hooting with laughter. Suprised they didn't have the whole street joining in with their fun:)

Erm!! 15 ferrero rocher's later (well apparently they decided to share one because DS2 looked hungry????????????????:rotfl::rotfl:) they descended on the kitchen for cards and the last 2 clues to find his pressies (one from me £7.99 - one from his dad in SA £32 - well its the only time of the year he contributes so he gets the expensive choice)

So now fed (HM pancakes) and watered they are in DS1's room playing pokemon and having a hoot. DS1 is so happy that DS2 is just jumping with joy in sympathy:T

The other reason I am excited???

Well today is results day in Scotland - i worked last year with 3 friends kids who sat their "big exams - LOL). Hopefully when they get their results they will text and let me know.

We have got got 13 exams sat - and hoping for a good smattering of A's and B's - will let you know after the Forum opens up again.

Hope your son has a wonderful day, and what a great idea to do a treasure hunt.

I am having a dilemna this morning. do we claim back some of the money we have overpaid on the mortgage in order to speculate to accumulate? Do i trust enough that it will all be ok, and the thing i believe in most of all (overpaying while being a SAHM) can happen? Am i brave enough?

Big chat with my DH tonight after a morning of number crunching.

I typed out a reply while I was at work and the blasted thing wouldn't post

Anyway the gist of it was that I hoped your DS1 had a lovely birthday. I love the idea of a treasure hunt - may I pinch it for DDs next one?

Congrats too on the exam success - amazing - bet you're really chuffed.
