Memorygirls - Make Do and Mend

I just wanted to say 'hi' and I've been really encouraged and challenged by your diary.
I spent yesterday reading it from start to finish. I can't wait to see how it all pans out and what you manage to achieve by the end of your 100 days, so I've subscribed...hope you don't mind0 -
Quick post as an update before I get my sleepy boys some breakfast after the celebrations of yesterday.
Boy Student 1 - got 3 A's and a B - Off to St Andrews U (Mum pleased cos that keeps him local)
Boy Student 2 - got 2 A's and 2 B's. this is the one i am proudest of his achievements because a year ago he was a straight D student, in trouble with police, drinking and mucking around. Hes decided to take a year out before going off to study marine Biology and is spending 10 months on work placement at a rather large water park in Florida (you know the one with the killer whale Shamu??-)
And yes....................of that i am jealous. But only cos its tipping it down here.
Have decided that today i am going to design my dream house - this one - LOL!!! I am gong to write out an imaginary trip around the house, walking into each room in turn and describe it as it will look on the day I put it on the market for £185K or more. In detail I will list the finishes and the contents, the colours and the furniture - and then I'm going to print it out and stick in the front of my house book so that i can read it frequently.
I can then start using the materials I have to hand to manifest this dream house into reality - and trust that what i don't have i can acquire easily. I am also going to start to programme that I will receive three over the asking price offers in the first weekend of marketing the house and will have an easy process moving us int oour forever (and mortgage free) home.
The bit that stumps me at the moment is the exact date - so for now i will plump for 8th April next year (DS2's birthday).
Have a productive and inspiring day my friends.

Those were great results Memorygirl - well done you and your students.
Well following on from your earlier posts - bearing in mind I've only read your diary this week - I have been sorting out my clothes. I've also got out the clothes that I'm never going to slim into - although I love - so they're going as well. I also found my old - well they look hardly worn really - bras - 36C - there's no way I'll ever fit in those again - I was that size pre-kids - and my DD is 8! So I am getting there I think!NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Briiliant MG! Your belief coupled with your focus and determination will get you there:T
Personally, I really need to re-focus in this area of my life...in a nut-shell, my flat is currently on the market - I have been attempting* to manifest a sale over the last 4 weeks - I've had a few viewings, however no offers. As today is the last day of my assigned 4-week "sell" period, I have just over 7 hours to achieve the grand manifistation!!!......ok I'm away to put all my energies into one hell of an order:www::www::www::www::www::www::www: (one visual house for each hour).
I'll report back later.....enjoy your day all:)

Brilliant results regarding the students and house Memory Girl (see I believe you have done it already).
Were you using your Mind Mapping techniques on the students or Montessori, or both, or something completely different? You can keep me guessing if you want.
I am sure it wasn't conventional methods.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
A personal development friend of mine talks about releasing attachment.
acknowledge the present - house not selling
see clearly the desired outcome - the SOLD sign going up
see clearly the outcome that's best for the universe
- in my case that would be very clearly imagining the excitement as the family that buys my property will have on the day they walk through the doors on the day the house becomes theirs.
I see them opening the door - stroking my lovely red paintwork, the door opens intoa spacious and calming hall, all light and bright.
The kids rush through and go running through the empty rooms as the sun shines brightly through the sparkling windows. Giggling thay run up the stairs to choose their favourite rooms.
The couple shut the door softly behind them and share a soft and tender kiss as they look around their new family home ( which they own mortgage free btw - because I wish for them what i wish for us all).
They wander into the kitchen where i have left a bottle of champagne and two glasses, a big bunch of beautiful flowers and a couple of gift-wrapped boxes for the kids.
Everything in the house is spick and span -ready for them to bring their furniture straight in and be at home - they even love the decor so they won't even want to paint.
The reality is that instead of putting my focus on MY problem - the house not selling ( and getting what i am focussed on) I am not even concentrating on the house being sold (face it the estate agent is really the winner there) but i am now sending out into the universe vibes to attract my perfect family buyers. i win, the estate agent wins and so do the buyers.:T
hope that's not too rambling? - but do you get the principle??
Spend the day focussing on attracting the perfect buyer - and then start packing because you know the house is really sold, you just haven't let go of it yet;)

Anyway the gist of it was that I hoped your DS1 had a lovely birthday. I love the idea of a treasure hunt - may I pinch it for DDs next one?
Congrats too on the exam success - amazing - bet you're really chuffed.
Poles x
i think we should all have treasure hunts on special days - so much fun and really didn't cost very much at all.
i am very pleased for my students - but it is their success - i just pointed them along the right road a little while:)
does prove to me that i've got something worth sharing though

My ex used to make treasure hunts of presents for my birthday/Christmas presents, it was wonderful
I've done a couple for DD's birthday presents, wish someone would do them for me - maybe DD will do it next year if I ask her nicely
I borrowed the Secret a couple of years ago and couldn't get on with it, but to paraphrase MG, I'm still in the mire and nothing I secretly desire is happening! Think I need to re-read it........and soon!!0
