:T:T:T Well done everyone, all still being very positive and industrious I see! :p:D Just popped in for an 'energy fix' as I've been struggling a bit at the moment (38weeks pregnant) and I've now been inspired to do the washing up - yay! (I think ;)).

MG - love the sound of Montessorri (probably spelt wrong, sorry). I went to a Steiner school myself. MY DS is at a local state school and it just seems so booooring what he learns all day. I think my real focus for maternity leave has got to be my children and working out what sort of life I want for them and put myself and all the other day to day trivia to one side for a bit. Oh, I'm not saying I'm trivia, just that I need to focus more on my kids' needs rather than trying to juggle everything all the time

Have a good day, all :D

    Love this thread memorygirl!

I am up to page 11 and have to stop reading for now or i will be on here all day! Can't wait to find out about the school! Love your approach to life and the way you are raising your 2 boys, they have a great mum. Going to steal some of your ideas, love the £100 challenge and the tree chart to track your overpayments. I'm now going to tackle the housework (in 15 min chunks of course)!

Well guess what, popped to the library this lunchtime, liked the name of the first book I saw on the shelf, pulled it out to have a look and it turned out to be a book about how to raise your children the Montessori way. Been having a nice read. Lots of aspects that remind me of Steiner but I love the focus on encouraging independance which I think Steiner lacks a bit

Hmmm, I was thinking of having a look at different parenting approaches (later on, obviously need him to be born first!!) Will you let me know if you like the book courgette?

I am the same, loving the positivity of this thread, and I always feel really energised after reading it! I have my list of projects I'd like to work on when I can start a 100 day challenge.

Well done everybody who is working so hard!

Ooh finished - it's only taken me 2 days! It's been really interesting reading - pity I'm too late to join in with your 100 days challenge. Put me down for a copy of your book memory girl.

Sadly I seem to have knocked any sexiness out of poledancing and stick to the gymnastic side of it. Definitely one to bear in mind though....;)

I've found the Steiner / Montesorri parenting approach brings a lot of problems in "normal" parenting groups mostly because other people can't handle you allowing your children any form of independance and judge you as a neglectful parent because of it.

I had a friend who found it funny that when my children went to play in the garden I'd open the nearest window, that way if they were really hurt I'd hear them cry and otherwise they'd appear when they'd had enough of whatever they were doing. She had to have her children within full view at all times just in case.

It has made my chldren a lot more opinionated than their peers. Not entirely sure if this is because we encourage them to have their own opinions or just because they're naturally bolshy like me.

    Morning all,

Just popping in to catch up. MG, hope that those donations drop into the account for you soon. I, too would do what you are doing with the mortgage payments. if that gives you some kind of control then that is what you need to do.

Ok, thanks to this thread I have now Gok;d my wardrobe, cleared my study, and started on the decluttering of the junk (oops guest) room.

    Hi Memory Girl et all,

Just finished reading the final post before I felt I was able to post (iyswim)....although really should have been showered and dressed a couple of hours ago - eeek.
Fantastic reading with brilliant entries by all, so firstly thank you all for the FREE inspiration!!

I have to confess to speed reading in places, therefore apologies if this has been mentioned before, however regarding the receipt of money/cheques in abundance - for those of you who like visual visualisation:D, you may wish to print of a cheque (courtesy of the Secret website and linky below)
    http://www.thesecret.tv/images/check/the-secret-check.pdf

Simply fill in the amount you desire, and place cheque in a prominent position - one which is visible to you many times throughout the day.
**Remember the most important thing is to BELIEVE**

Thanks again Memory Girl for your fab posts:)
