Yes!!! i am still working the 24 pieces for all I'm worth.
Over the weekend the local furniture charity had a blue spot weekend - everything with a blue spot you can have for free. i got a pine table for sitting our tv and video on.
I now have a livingroom complete with random and mismatched pine furniture. Definitely more shabby than chic. My hope is that after they are all painted up they will look lovely and matching and a shade more designer-y!!!
Oh!! that gives me an idea for something I want to add into the book.

(One of) my (many) pet hates is things matching! Our living room is a mixture of old and new stuff, dark woods, light woods etc etc and I think it all looks very natural and homely In fact it is so mismatched it actually looks right IYSWIM?

Hooray Memory girl :T (whoops just typed memorgy girl there by accident :rotfl:)
That's amazing to have put so much towards DS school already, in addition to the mortgage savings. Well done you.
:rotfl::rotfl:that made me hoot with laughter and nearly spray my screen with tea:j:j
The only problem is that only £50 is actually paid - and they are chasing the other £450 this month. i hope my "donations" are paid soon.

Hi everyone
thanks for the reply 2me q MG. Sounds like a very good way of raising kiddies; me thinks I shall adopt this approach (if you dont mind!) sorry been sooooo long getting back had a busy weekend.
Sat went 2visit sister inlaw; but before heading off had to get tyre changed on car (£40). thought that would be the end of the spending till on the way home the exhaust started to sound strange. Couldn't have a look sat as we were home very late and was to dark to asses damage.
So sunday started with his lordship looking at the car; low and behold the back box was hanging off. So he arranged this morning that I would take it into the garage and have that repaired (thought it would only be £50 as it was backbox only). Off I went thinking not to bad we can manage this and still have enough 2save. well to cut a long story short car ended up costing £120:eek: as it was not only the back box but the whole thing appart from the cat converter that was gone. So all in all the blinkin thing has costed us £160 . Would love to be able to not need the car but around us the bus service is very unreliable and I have to drive everywhere as not even a shop in walking distance.
ah well must keep thinking positive thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
congrats on your block. Also in answer to your q if I was you I would keep putting that money away for the mortgage; as I recall from prev post's you were saying you have never defaulted on the mortgage and therefore the bank would look like a bunch of idiots (AGAIN) if they tried to take you to court for home! you seem to be very on top of your personal guarantee and again if you are keeping to the arrangement I would imagine that every court in the country would laugh the case out if the started wanting more. Their is a duty on them to atleast be reasonable about the situation!!!
Anyhow just a quick visit today as im off 2make some T for the otherhalf who looks ready 2eat his arm hes so hungry :rotfl:'£5000 by hook or by crook' challenge - £4168/£5000

Whoops should have put my OWN decorating! Actually i think I would find being a painter and decorator far more fulfilling than my current job.....
I'll let you know! It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
What a load of busy bunnies you lot are. I have been in work full time all last week and a couple of hectic weekends so feel really tired. Though not to tired to catch up on here. Just love the humour and everyone being so positive - it really is catching. :T I feel now l have a case of the happyitus and its great.:j
The £100 challenge was a disaster as l spent a £103 in the first day  Also the 100 day challenge eas a bit of a disaster as got side tracked from about day 3:eek:
Anyway must just brush myself down and start all over again. I really do feel the finances are not in my control as DH does the shopping etc. All l can do is suggest savings and not ask for any extras.
The 100 day challenge is definately in my own hands. I have so much that needs decluttering and cleaning and l am the only one that can do that. Last time my DH went through a cupboard sorting it out - he threw in the bin my stainless steel smoothie maker and my juicer. Just because l didn't use them a lot they could have gone on ebay or something but no in the bin with them. Only found out when l came home from work.
DH did buy me another timer as my old ones had broken, so l now have no excuse but to get on with it all. Oh and l joined Flylady - get quite a few emails but they are quick to read and l like the idea of having zones and daily plans. Will definately get the sink book. Have even introduced my sister to Flylady, as she has loads of de clutter areas.
Anyway off for some beauty sleep as the bags under my eyes are huge:(
Take care all xxx Mooooooooooooooooooooo:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0
