Buffy, I know just what you mean, although in my case I feel as though the Universe has sent me MemoryGirl and all the posters on this thread.

From me getting The Secret and then mentioning it to a friend, a whole new world of possibilities has opened up to me, and my friend it turns out is very much on the same wavelength and we are supporting and encouraging each other.

Sending positive thoughts to all :kisses3:

Now this post makes everything worthwhile :T:T

Having friends who support you - and are really on the same wavelength makes this all worth while. Its so much more fun that sharing time with the doom mongers - focussed as they are on recession, and doom n gloom.

I don't want to play that game anymore - I hereby opt out of the recession and all its associated bad news........... Got no time for it!!!

I'm healthy, so are the boys, we have enough food in to survive until Feb (if my calculations are correct), my house is safe until July next year, I am paying down my debts easily, I have the resources to create something magical and meaningful...................... I don't wan to listen to "Robert Pestilence" on the morning news.

This "Recessionista" isn't playing the media game any more -she is loving the challenges and creativity that creating a loving and nurturing home on a budget brings.

"the Universe brings me good news and meaningful nudges every day"

So I told you about my "one-day-holiday" on Thursday - but wait till I tell you about Friday.

I knew I had the proposal for my Girlie friend to finish - so that was top of my heap - so I did loads for that - but earlier.

DS1 and I pinned a sign up on our planning wall - "Money flows abundantly towards me" - around which he has drawn loads of happy dancing buns ( a Bun Dance) - geddit????;)

And we had a fifteen minutes quiet time cuddling on the sofa (DS2 fast asleep) chatting about intentions and getting him to programme for a fantastic time at Legoland and money flowing abundantly towards us.

He goes upstairs to get dressed - and I go outside to pin out the laundry............................ and i find a £20 note sitting underneath my whirlie:j:j:j.

Now my back garden is completly enclosed - so I have no idea where it could have come from - so I believe the Universe sent it:T A whole £20 - Yipee!!!!!!!!!!!! So I gets DS1 to put it into our Savings jar and get him ready for his holiday.

My Mum arrrives - and she asks if I have got a note to exchange her 10 X £2 coins that she had saved to give DS1 as spending money for the trip (I thought I had to provide the spending money so had saved it myself, then Stew gave him £20 and I put my savings into the jar) So I offer her the "found note" and she decides that seeing as Stew has given James some money she will put her £20 in my jar instead (she wanted both boys to have the same amount of spending money) ...................... so I now had £40 in my jar this week.

................. wow!!! This intention is really working:beer:

...........she then hands me a letter from her Best Friend that she lunches with every Thursday. A lovely handwritten note telling us of a great trip she had just had - and how she had thought of us on the trip and had been telling her friend about me saving up to go to the wedding in my jar, and buying my £4.50 dress and how proud they were of me as a mum taking responsibility for the boys ............................ and "enclosed is something to put in your jar for some outings. I hope you and the kids will enjoy spending it during the holidays"

    ......................FIFTY QUID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In 90 minutes after pinning up my intention - £90 came my way in totally unexpected and unplanned ways:j:j

After DS1 was off with Grandma I walked DS2 round to Mr T's to spend his Healthy Start voucher on milk - and......

They had marked down fruit and veg (they never have these when I am in there). I got

    4 avacados 10p
    2 celery hearts 5p
    box of strawberries 5p
    head of savoy cabbage 5p
    Bag of carrots 5p
    Bag of mixed veg 5p
    2 bags of mint 10p
    Red Pepper 10p
    Iceberg lettuce 5p
    bag of chillis 5p
    New Turnip 5p

    ...................... a whole weeks veggies for 70p:j:j

    I am sooooooo loving this.......................!!!!

Came home and took the school bus back to the drivers house - and his Missus gave DS2 a pound to spend on sweeties seeing as DS1 was away - and gave me a bag of t shirts n shorts she found at a jumble sale (20p the bag):T

Came back into town, swapped our library books and found 20p walking home as we passed outside Greggs.:T

So the rest of the day was spent writing (the proposal) playing with DS2 and reading a bit of my library book - sitting on my window seat in the sun. - bit stunned at how the day panned out TBH.

Maybe the Universe has plans to make me rich :rotfl::rotfl:. If so I'd better go and find some more stuff to Ebay.

    Later Ladies

BTW - in cropped jeans, gingham top and slip ons today. Need flat shoes to get me busy, busy, busy.

Rye bread is in the breadmaker
    Bedding is in the machine
    Hoover has been dragged out
DS2 having a bubble bath (don't ask he just asked for one??)
One load of washing is out on the line

....................... and I think I have caught up with all my gossip.

    See you soon

You see, we told you a very large cheque is coming your way and we ment it. MG, so pleased to hear about your Friday.

I have to confess that after reading the Secret things started happening to me as well - which is interesting because I am a firm rationalist and have a bit of a problem believing in such and similar. First, I started feeling better - I am a magnet for good will and prosperity - and the mantra started paying off. I found that ' ask and you shall be given' actually works. Second, a bool called 'Millionaire Women, Millionaire You' appeared in my pigeonhole at work. And third, have been approached to be an expert on an international project which is consultancy and will, the Universe willing, contribute substantially to my financial health plans.

I have a post on my thread about what comes out in summary (as a pattern) but last night I read that to become a millionaire one needs to put on the side £1.85. Can you believe it - only £1.85 which is £56 per month (normalised for 30 or 31 days month). Continuing my calculations this is £672 per year. Not much for anybody, is it? The trick is not to keep it in the bank but make it work for you - one third in property, one third in shares and bonds and one third in your business.

Keep well al and the Universe is with us.

About believing in the Secret, I recently read some where that one the top physicists had a hourse shoe over his front door. 'Do you believe in this stuff?' - asked a colleague. 'No. But people say it works even if you don't believe.' - came the reply.

£1.86 per day!!!! Off to put thinking cap on about how she can start a "Secret Millionaire Fund" LOL.

Your story about the Physicists reminds me of when I lived in London. Used to play poker on Thursday nights with a local Priest and a Local Rabbi who were best friends (no really!!! this is not the beginning of a joke)

We rarely talked about religion - mostly about people because they were such excellent people watchers. One night I admitted "I wasn't convinced about God" and the Rabbi just poured me another gin and laughed saying "It's OK - he's convinced about you!"

Looks like he may have been right after all - now that I 've started being clear about what I need it does seem to be turning up.

You know, maybe life doesn't have to be hard maybe life can just simply be easy instead??

Wooohhoooooo!!! on your Consultancy Firewalker - may it lead to this and everything better.

Off to hang another load of laundry out and take the baby for aplay in the park.

I do love popping in here. So positive. Interesting idea about becoming a millionairre from such a small sum per day, and how it has to be used in such a specific way. I guess investing in our houses by paying down the mortgage works in this vein as we will be saving so much in interest that can then be used for other investments.

I also like the idea of ignoring the recession. I try not to watch the news that often as i find it so depressing and counter productive.

My spooky occurence this week was we were discussing having cavity wall insulation fitted. We have needed it doing for 6 years since we moved in. I discussed it with DH, and then was discussing it with the guy fitting the bathroom on Wednesday morning as i made him a cuppa. The phone then rang, and it was someone asking if we needed any. I normally just say no to cold callers, but i listened and agreed to see the surveyor the followinng day. I researched them online that evening and they are actually one of the cheaper companies that do it, and not many complaints other than for their cold calling. So, booked it in. Also, the bill for the bathroom work was given to me, and it was sufficiently under budget to pay for the cavity walls too. Result. Small things, but i am going to keep at it.

Also, i sponsored my friend doing race for life even though we couldn't really afford it, and the next day, i had sold a book on amazon giving me the exact amount i had given her. :D

Things are going to be good for all of us as there is too much positivity for it not to be. ;)

Well done michelle - I bet that makes your home so much warmer in the winter. Every penny off the Heating bill for years to come after one day of serendipity-doo-dah!!! will be a cause to celebrate.

DS2 is all played out -currently fast asleep in his buggy in the garden. So I grabbed myself another 10 X 10 grid and a bin-bag and have rumbled around the house to find another 100 things to throw. Crisp packets in DS1 bin, empty loo rolls etc. Although I did resort to emptying the apples out of their bag into the fruit bowl just so that I could throw away the plastic bag.

Going to have a sit down and a storecupboard lunch before DS2 wakes.

Todays spends - £1 for a jumbo bag of lollies for DS2. Already put in the treast jar and the bag disposed of.

Lunch - and then a think of more ways to pay down the mortgage.

MG, if the Secret is to be taken seriously one condition is not to mention negative things, or things you do not want. Mentioning 'mortgage' and thinking about the mortgage, if the law of attraction really works, will attract more mortgage.

I realised that I am in a similar conundrum with mentioning the 'd' word - so every time I thought about how to pay the 'd' off I was, possibly attracting more of the same. My way out of it is not to talk, think or even mention 'd' but 'increase of my personal wealth'. Technically this is correct - reducing 'd' increases one's personal wealth.

Off to the park to play tennis with little boy - problem is he is so good at sports it is very embarssing.

hi memory girl I had to post to say that I was blown away by your good fortune that you posted about earlier today, all because of the Secret and manifestations.

I have the Secret on my wish list so this afternoon I went to see about getting myself a copy. I went into my local bookshop but it was 17.99 so I went to Oxfam/Barnardos near me and had a mosey. Nothing doing on the shelves so I was gonna give up then I asked the guy who was bringing down books from the storeroom. He said 'usually people keep that book......... but i'llk have a look. You can imagine my delight when he came back with a copy for 5.00 euro.:j I was over the moon. :j So I cant wait to start reading it. Last summer a work colleage gave it to me to read but I gave it back to her and I didnt really read it. I will this time.

Continued good wishes and I love all your postings and pieces of news.

    Have a good weekend

    Flanno (marie)
