    Hiya Buffy

You're allowed to get excited about books - if it works let us in on the "secret nuggets".

Whilst I was waiting for my "rubber cauli" I had a wee spurt on in the kitchen.

    1. Threw out 25 bits of rubbish
    2. Put a ciabatta mix on for tomorrow
    3. Put some rice and yellow split peas on to soak for kichri (I am loving ClootiesMum's chickie eggs so much I have been having one every morning on a mound of kichri)
    4. Put a litre of natural yogurt on
    5. Made a cup of tea
    6. Ran a bath for DS2
    7. Did the washing up
    8. Put a load of washing in the machine

Just beginning to realise how I get so much done - I sneak the extra jobs ni whilst I'm waiting for other stuff to happen.

Off to bathe a rather smelly baby

844 thats such a brilliant post. I would so love to have a home like you and hopefully will with a lot of work. At the moment l suffer from CHAOS - Cant Have Anyone Over Syndrome :o

I went on an American website and it has theses little things like ROTM - Room of the month - where do your usual housework but also before the first week of the month - you pick a room and write down every single job from ceiling to floor and work on it over the course of the month. The object is too get the room finished in the month and then to work on another ROTM next month. :j

Also ETE - Eliminate the Evidence ie: if you make a sandwich - before you go and eat it - immediatley clean up so know one knows you have made one. I have lapsed a lot over the months but could do with getting back on to it again.

My problem is the pets - have a lot and worry so much about smell - paranoid about it in fact. I am sure l am ruining my laminate floors as l use bleach and water to clean it:(

Was doing great onthe £100 challenge until DH said that we will have to buy food on the CC as have only little cash also the car needs filling up. Really annoying now as get oaid of Friday  So l am going to start my £100 challenge on payday.

Not a good day on the 100 Challenge - though did put washing on over night to save money. I had a terrible nights sleep (knew l would as a bit of an insomniac at times) also had to work early today and by the time l got home had lunch, walked the dogs l was bushed. DH then made fried rice dish for dinner and l went back for the leftovers . Now feel fat, frumpy again and very very sluggish.:(
Never mind though as l am inspired all over again after reading all of your posts. Thankyou girlies.

Anyway back tomorrow - hang on in there xxx Moobear :A:A:A

I think you are good at just getting things done. see it needs doing and then just do it rather than leave it to be a drain on your energy as your brain says do it and you do it.

I tried that earlier. We had sawdust all over the landing so i decided to hoover it up while the kids were in the bath. It backfired though as DS1 (nearly 4) squirted an entire bottle of kids body wash into the bath to make bubbles. That is the sort of thing that slows me down all the time. :rotfl:

I do potter round doing several bits at once though when i can.

I will try to be more like you and deal with things as soon as my hand touches it. 1st thing should probably be paperwork filing. We have a pretty good system in the filing cabinet upstairs but instead of just taking a letter upstairs as soon as i have dealt with it, i then put it on the TV cabinet and then there is a whole pile. Must catch up and stop doing that and we would instantly look much tidier. That can be this weeks decluttering target.

I think we all have events like that - especially when we have little people in tow:rotfl:

As for the filing - the only thing that works for me is having the filing system right where I deal with the paperwork. So the file sits ona shelf in the kitchen near the bin. Post and paperwork come in, I stand bythe bin to open it, reach up to get the hole punch, punch hole a file int he correst place without even putting it down.

BTW the family planning calendar is on the wall there - so anything thats time sensitive it immediately scribbled on the calendar (with the pen on a string tied tightly to the hook - because that was always my downfall - not noting down the important dates and being caught on the hop)

I'm up to 35 things thrown out this morning - Waheyy!!!. Shall aim for a full one hundred today - oreven more depending on how the writing goes.

How are you getting on Firewalker???? Hope the words are flowing for you.

Good morning MG, good morning all,

things are moving smoothly here - I have over 3,000 words written and this on top of the 4,500 that were already there. Text will need sveral edits - but there is a school of thought saying that the difference between sloppy writing and brilliant writing is in the n umber of edits one does. And Flaubert (Madame Bovary) always lied about this one - he didn't edit much. However...

But reading what you are all doing I feel humbled again - I am good for only one thing in hundren days. My house is in a rather urgent need of de-cluttering. As to Gok - how about I am still wearing my pjs? Later - it will be cream trousers, black top, basketball shoes.

My disappointment is that I did let some negative thoughts in - like 'I don't do anything', 'I never achieve anything', look at [black envy here]. It is all !!!!!!!!, of course - I have achieved and am going to do even more; as to envy, apparently (according to behavioural economics) it is what we do naturally because we think and decide by making comparisons.

Erm!!!! Writing a book in 100 days is not just one thing - its a massive thing. In my seminars, when we asked what peoples heart-felt goals were "I wanna write a book" was waaaayyy up there - do you know how few people actually get up the nerve to do it - well theres you, and me and about half a dozen others I could name!!! Every day you write anything is a Mega Successfull day.

My house is in a rather urgent need of de-cluttering. As to Gok - how about I am still wearing my pjs? Later - it will be cream trousers, black top, basketball shoes.

Snap - mushroom trousers, black wrap top and black shoes. Must be a writing uniform - LOL

I think if the envy is used in a motivating way then you should wallow in it (but just give yourself a time limit of fifteen minutes and really go for it) - then you can move on.

My biggest motivator is a "F*** You" attitude. If someone really annoys me I go out of my way to succeed to prove them wrong. Not the most mature and enlightened response, but I've had a few great moments with it.

Now that DS2 bedroom is set up I have 2 empty bookshelves inthe hallway. I was going to remove them but have decided that the bookshelves are going to be where I stoer either the stuff I'm going to Ebay, or the stuff I make for the Christmas Crafting parties.

I may as well make them earn their keep whilst they are there -:rotfl:.

Ciabatta ready for third proving and kids want to go to the library so I'd better get a wiggle on

Hello to anyone who can help:

    The plans so far are

    • Train from Leuchars arrive Kings Cross 3pm Friday 23rd July
    • Plan to go to Waterloo for a visit to the London Eye and surrounding areas
    • Tube from Waterloo to Paddington for train to Slough

    On Monday 26th July
    • Train from Slough to Paddington
    • Tube from Paddington to South Kensington for the Imperial War Museum
    • Depart Kings Cross 2pm

    What I'd like to know:-

    1. Do we need a travelcard or oystercard which is most cost effective?
    2. Are there any other places of interest we could include?
    3. What is the price of the tube tickets?
    4. What is the price of the train from Paddington to Slough return?
    5. How long will it take to get from Kings Cross to Waterloo?
    6. How long will it take to get from South Kensington to Kings Cross?

Other than these questions I think we have them organised

Hi there missus - just been catching up

Remember if you throw out too many 100 things a day you'll soon have nothing left.

We're not long back from London & I have a London guide book if that's of any use. Also, friends with kids are just back from London (having borrowed our guide book, maps etc) & they had a great afternoon just playing with the kids in Hyde park. They went on a site & got 2 for the price of 1 tickets for theTower of London & also there's a site 101 free things to do in London & seemingly it has dtls of how to apply for tickets to see the closing up of the Tower at night with the beefeaters. And the changing of the guards is worthwhile going to see.

Anyway - must go now as my mission for today is to try to find a holiday for me & DH for next week -

PS - If you're going with an Oystercard, there's a £3 deposit for them but I have 2 here you can borrow.....
