OK, I just had to go downstairs and tell Popeye what's going on.
He said "crikey" and I've leaked again
A cup of tea, and I'm calming down.
And I'm trying to work out where to ask people to send these kits - how much space should I be aiming for? A shed, a spare room, or a school gymnasium? :rotfl:
why don't you add a kits 4 kids total in your signature - then we can PM you when we have sourced kits and you can see how many need to be collected together.
Will also keep us on task as we see the total creeping up. I'm sure we can all keep hold of the ones we course utill you sort out where you want them to be collected.
Should I contact the footballer and ask him to get old of a few as well???:D

Will do - should I be bringing forward the launch of our web-site, or can it wait until November 13th?
At the moment the only mention I can find on the internet is confirmation that it is a registered charity and a slightly out of date description of the work it does.
Whenever you get it sorted willbe the perfect time - just let us all know so that we can have a look when you go live.

Depending how many kits Olive can deal with it might be an idea to use the footballer for publicity, arrange an interview in the local paper with him endorsing the campaign at the same time as you are doing your Study Skills course and kill two birds with one stone.:)0 -
god you lot make my head fizz lol olive - i work for a well known supermarket so sure i could collect football kits for you (hope you dont mind leeds kits were footie mad in this house )so mail me when your ready .
thanks everyone for the relaxation and feeling more posative tips ,need them today i woke up in a panic thinking how am i gonna get £300 a month extra by feb when the morgage goes up again (been paying less to get us through a rough year ) when we can hardly make ends meet as it is !!!
anyway just realised its up to me to find a way got just over 100 days to sort it out lets go argghhh xxx0 -
Hi Everyone - ok am trying to be positive - the car repair cost and some essential work that can't be delayed any longer on the house has come in at £600! I had £400 to cover my utility bills and pay for the house work and pay some bills down - now I need to find the extra money to cover these repairs and pay the utility bills and somehow try and make a dent in the credit card.
Deep breath, thinking positively - maybe this is another nudge that says I need to pursue my business dreams. I am employed full time. In addition to this I am currently writing and also working (though very sporadically) with OH in setting up a business we would both enjoy (not nearly enough time is devoted to this at the moment for various reasons). In all honesty it has been more a case of gathering materials and generally discussing it. So, I will now list more items on e-bay - hopefully raise some much needed money and clear space. In listing more items I can evaluate whats important to me and start to prioratise - the joint business WILL work, if I can sell enough things and set up a space to work in dedicated to this then I know OH will find it alot easier to just get straight to work on this - I think a shed will be ideal.:D So far I have listed some items for sale and picked up a few MS jobs - these may not raise much funds but it is all needed just now.
Claire - you mentioned you are trying to think of some themed ear-rings. How about *ahem* little robins? I love them - I always feel really positive and uplifted when I see them. It's ok, if this isn't possible - just a suggestion and probably easier than reindeers lol :rotfl: Though I am sure with your skills you could do these too. Also do i order my snowmen off your website and pay with paypal? Just confused as I know you mentioned they had been put to one side for me.
Well done to all marathon runners.
DT what is your business idea - not sure if I missed this in the quick reading?
Am sure there were more people I wanted to reply to so sorry if I missed you off.CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
it would be good as well to contact an export company to see if they would ship the kits either foc or at a greatly reduced cost - door to door which includes the import customs procedure in SA. Seafreight would be the cheapest, and there are weekly sailings to SA.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!DFW Long Hauler Supporter No 1500

OliveOyl - sounds like you do some great work and if there's any way I can help please let me know - I am happy to contact football clubs and ask re. old kits - not sure what they do with these at the moment - but once there's a name for the charity (I do think you mentioned that you would be stting up a charity?) and some literature I am more than happy to ask.
I have no experience of this by the way but if you don't ask you don't get...

i would say don't bother with DHL, Fedex or UP, go with a freight forwarder. I used to work for one which has offices all over the country and i know of others as well.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!DFW Long Hauler Supporter No 1500
