    Hi MG

just wanted to pop-in from my lurking to say thank you for getting me re-focussed on my debts:o
i haven't read all the thread - just a few pages at the beginning and a few at the end - you lot can't half 'talk':D
but one of your ideas really struck a cord with me - the 1000 payments and your tree (how's it going by the way). I'm not in the slightest bit creative but I've still drawn a tree (very dodgy looking it is too) and 'blank leaves'. Best of all 3 leaves are already coloured in and 1/4 of another is already sitting in a savings account:T
i've only done 155 payments as i'm not including my mortgage, once the 155 are done i'll start another tree and i've put it in my signature too.

    once again thanks.

Well MG, I'm hands up to be part of your Matrix! Will read back properly to figure out if I need to PM you :D

Just thought I'd let you know, I've been on two different training courses this week, and for the first time used mind mapping to take notes :T I actually learned to do it (not from you! :o) years and years ago, and ALWAYS use kind of spidery diagrams for things, but this is the first time I've properly used just key words (rather than whole sentences), and colours and pictures etc. I've had a great week! :D Mind mapped to do lists, plans for the future, and notes at these courses and everything!

Made me think though - quite a few people noticed what I was doing and asked me about it (including the trainer! :rotfl:) I'm afraid I haven't actually bought your book (yet! Will be doing so when it fits in my budget :D Very soon :D) and I actually don't even know what it's called, so I couldn't pass on the name :o Do you have flyers for your book, or a website or something? Because I'm more than happy to carry a few in my bag and pass them on to people who ask me about mind maps and things - I'm out and about quite often, and probably colud have passed out 15 or so just in the last couple of days just to people who asked!

(I'm also directing my sister to read through your entire thread and do the challenges :rotfl: She's got 3 small children and is starting off a business and a little demotivated at the minute - and I reckon this is just what she needs!) <waves>

Good luck getting your hair cut! :D

MG that was a great idea, what I'd love to know is what exactly did you say to get such a good response? I'd be happy to join in (will PM you) but wouldn't be too sure about how to approach people, I'd be afraid it would come out rather feebly in a 'my friend makes jewellery...' sort of way - advice on a confident approach please :o

just talked to the business owners - a

"i'm part of a site that helps people manage their money. Me and another lady are staring our own businesses to get off benefits - she works from home and designs really cool jewellery and sells online - if i can get some leaflets would you help her out by........?"

shameless really me :D -its easy when its for someone else isn't it.

    I make sure they are:

motivated to help - (see she's helping herself - she needs a little hand-up)
interest them in the product but don't sell it- (really cool jewellery)
make it easy for them to help (if i bring you the leaflets would you put then out on the coffee trays for me?)

oh - and a great big smile helps too :D

Seemed to work - and i was only out for less than 30 minutes all round.

Right, just about caught up and all I can say is WOW!

Dedicated DFW where are you? Wardrobe decluttering and styling are my business idea and I love doing it for people.

Souk08 - you don't fancy styling a wannabe professional speaker do ya?

I hate clothes shopping - but would knuckle down if you could sort me out with a professional 24 pieces a la Auntie Gok:D

Just a thought - please, please , please, please pretty please:D

Evening All, What a chatty bunch you all are. I just wanted to say thank you so much to all of you who sent me good vibes today. They worked I was very calm. The news, however was not what I had hoped for. Unfortunately I have not been accepted for the severance scheme as my job is irreplaceable! I was (as scousers say) gutted! this morning, I could hardly speak to my boss, not least because I had several hundred freshers students trying to pinch all my leaflets. a 2.5 hour journey home has helped me put things into perspective and hey, I have not lost anything (especially my job) and you know what they say, its easier to gain employment whilst in employment. I think this is just giving me the spur on to do other things though. I will just have to take a little longer as I cant throw all of my energies at it just yet.
I will read back over the thread as I just scanned the first few posts of the day. I am sure that there will be lots of catching up to do. Oh and then I will check the blog.

sorry hon - i know it wasn't the outcome you wanted. lets regroup and think of an even more perfect way of getting you where you want to be.

    hugs

I would like to appologise, I feel like I have bombarded the thread quite a bit the last few days and have taken over a bit.

But I would also like to thank everyone for their help and suggestions

i like to think that this could be a group that anyone could come to when they are having their "will i won't i?" wobble.

look how far you have come with a little gentle nagging, some not so gentle prodding and a couple of "oi you!!" shouts :rotfl:

As you go off energised and focussed, someone else will shout "will i, won't i?" and you will be able to chip in "yes!! - look what they supported me in doing"

It makes my heart soar that the people here will step in and help - and watching them help you is what inspired me to start to create the "memorygirl matrix" - so if you think about it, you have been intrumental in helping lots of people in the future reach their "i'm flying" moment.
