My favourite recipe is cinnamon and banana porridge tho - takes an hour - perfick while you're taking the kiddywink to school... I can pop up the recipe if you're interested.

    YUMMY

Ooh yes please!! I bought my slow cooker a couple of months ago but only used it once x

Aaaand with the mention of apple pie.. has just had a flash back to a certain american pie film and thought  SURELY MG doesnt mean THAT!! :rotfl:

Lost on me Sorry but I guess it was funny with all the splutterings of liquids around laptops :)

MG, good luck with the juicing. Sounds interesting. I am not "overweight" but I do need to tone up, I refuse to do Shred though!! I just keep thinking if I say it every day it will stop me from caving in :rotfl::rotfl:

Another really good way to kick start healthy eating is the Carol Vorderman Detox 28 day programme. A happy side effect is losing weight but I did it for health reasons and it really gave me a great boost.

  • Hi All!

Well - its taken a while (started last Friday during work hours) but I have finally caught up on the entire thread (still got the blog to work through).

All I can say is "WOW" you lot are truely amazing and insprational - I am sure whatever you have requested from the Universe will find its way to you.

MG - Part of me really wants to shout "Way to go girl!" but not sure that is quite adequate. I love the way you face things head on (even whilst using de-cluttering and cleaning as a diversion) and I am positive that your energy and achievments (both currently achieved and to come) will be repaid to you many, many times over.

Now I am up-to-speed on the thread, I have subscribed and will be following with keen interest and my mind open to offer any assistance I can.

    Nats x

ps, is it wrong that I would like to implement positive thinking and even the mind mapping to help me suceed at playing poker? (BTW, love the fact you were taught to play poker by the nuns!)

I'll do it tonight - if I forget, remind me...

MG is a very good source of slowcooker recipies - infact, her Stovies inspired me to get mine

I just love the fact you can put it on as you go to work, come home and it's all smelling yummy and is ready to munch on!

    Hijack over :)

Exercise is the most important thing in permanent weight loss. Concentrate on doing more, not so much on the food! Obviously stop snacking. :)

Second this. However, food is very important as well - many people exercise and eat more so end up bigger. It is like financial health in reverse - make sure that you get out more than you put in at all times.

MG, wonderful news about the visit. I am very pleased for you and hope that all will work out very soon (the visit is a gear up in commitment on both sides, I suppose).
