As Hypno says, it isn't for everyone and in all honesty but i would add, look at how motivated you have been lately:D Maybe the challenge has helped you re think a few things.:A

  • Hi MG and everyone!

Today was the first day of my PGCE, how exciting!! I have to say, me sitting in lectures drawing mind maps instead of taking boring traditional notes was a good talking point/ice breaker so shy little me managed to make some new friends today! So thank you Memory Girl- This year I'll have brilliant notes and I'll also have a brilliant social life! :j

You can add me to your golden rolodex if you think I'd be of any use. I'll be a proper teacher this time next year so I'll be in a position to recommend your books and services. My fellow trainee teachers might also be interested, so if you got some fliers made I could distribute them?

Spud, don't worry too much, it might be that you'll have a business idea in 1 month, 2ths or 6 mths time.

with me, this challenge i'll do when i've finished my degree next year cos it's not the right time for me.

MG, it was indeed me who volunteered to help with facebook, if you want a page setting up. (will PM) happy to be virtual PA to get you up and running.

Not looked at the challenge yet but guess it is listing contacts (Doh - never :rotfl:)

For those of you that are "worrying" about being left behind STOP!! Wait a minute Mr Postman (oops sorry burst into song there). What I am trying to say is that these challenges don't have to be about building business but it could be about building contacts for other things. For example, I recently had an issue with finding a dog minder. Once I mentioned it to some people I had a few recommendations, ended up with one lady who can walk him and one who will house sit. I have put them in touch with each other as they are both new to the area (same as me) and could help each other out (area is large and rural so they can refer clients to each other) and to boot I have ended up with two new "friends" who have in turn referred people to me for the work that I do now. So it might be worth writing that list you will be surprised how many people you do know, and you never know when you might need help with something and there is somebody on that list who can help you (or even an acquaintance who might be looking to book some sessions )

    Sorry for long ramble.
