    Hi gang,

I am in distress - supposed to be off to the US tomorrow but my Visa waiver thing has not come yet. My fault entirely but...Does anyone have recent experience of this one and how long did it take?

And the Universe might need to be called - US immigration authorities vs the Universe and the MG gang. The match is now on.

    Oh dear.

  • Did you do it online? The ESTA thing? If so, you need the reference number from your application...

Mmmmm, I have most of the vital "kit" to recreate some of my favourite childhood moments still -
    * my teddy (he's in my bed every night already :) )
    * my childhood radio (not too sure if it works),
    * a 1950's book of jolly japes at boarding school (I have acquired lots of these from my mum and aunties)
now I need to find a good porch to be my camp, to then relive my favourite childhood times of sitting in the camp listening to the radio and reading :)

  • You have to use the option on the right hand side to check your "authorization status" and update your hotel and flight number details

Firewalker - I applied on-line just before the charges came in. It was automatic and I got the message that it was authorised immediately. I used https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/ - are you using this one?

Did you apply on line? The websites seem to say that you can check the status on line try these links

MG, what a great idea. If you're happy to travel to London than i might be able to help you to organize days like this (even just put up posters in local schools) as I work with children and know plenty of families.

    Happy birthday Crickett, enjoy it!

MG hopefully you've thought of it already, but just wondered about the children's workshops, will you need a CRB check if you don't have one. Also will you need to arrange insurance too.

fully disclosed m'dear - and as for the insurance, got a wee man in birmingham looking into it for me as we speak.
