Hi memory girl,
I can help with your copy of 'The Secret', i've got a nice hardback copy looking for a good home :rotfl:.
If you're happy to pm me your address, i'll pop it in the post to you today. I've taken what I need from it now.
I've been blessed to find many special books, from my teenage years, in the loft, which I am about to read through again, and I need space for these old treasures.
Have a great day.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Happy Birthday to you love. Hope it is a special day in more ways than 1. :beer:0

Happy Birthday MG! Any news on the school yet?
On your recommendation I bought a copy of The Secret and the Secret - Daily Teachings off Amazon (Not very MSE I know but I have this thing about Library books and germs:o) Anyway I have just started reading it and it is certainly a very interesting read!
I finished clearing out my under the stairs cupboard and it was like going shopping - there was so much stuff in there that I had forgotten about! My desk in the office now has a lovely desk tidy which I had forgotten I had and I found two handbags which I had forgotten about, the kids are loving the bratz dolls and there was big box of books which we are loving looking through.......
hope you have had a lovely day MG.Jane

Firewalker wrote: »MG, he will probably need 1/2 size then, but if I were you I'll ask a violin teacher. BTW this is a pitty because I have a 1/4 one which I was going to offer. Also, buying children's violins is best done through schools and music teachers - it will likely cost you about £20 - but once you have one you can exchange it.
Good luck in all that - how does your son feel about playing the violin?
Firewalker
THanks for this Firewalker - we are a school of just over 23 - not funded bythe state (yet) so we don'tget any access to pools of instruments n stuff.
Our headteacher did mention that one of our kids big sisters plays a full sized violin - and that her mUm still has a 3/4 one that I might bew able to borrow. The good news is that DS is very careful with his belongings so I am confident he wouldn't damage it.
Fingers crossed - I shall ask her on Monday.
He is really excited about learning - he already fiddles about on the keyboards and plays chanter (will progress onto full pipes in a coule of months :eek:)
STILL NO NEWS ON THE SCHOOL BUILDING - but I'm off to the school at ten to deliver some files that we have been gifted ( a whole carload :j)

OOh Scrooge that is so kind - but having been on the waiting list for ages at the library, I finally go to borrow a copy last week .............. on the same day my Best Friend brought round my birthday present (she was a week early)
It turns out that 2 copies of "The Secret" found their way into my home on the same day:D One from the library and one from my Best Friend - and I only found out last night when we sat down to open my presents when my Mum came over.
Just think that book has been sitting in a gift bag doing its magic all week and I never even realised:j:j
I think passing on books is a wonderful thing to do - so I hope you find someone who needs it at this time - and knowing how the universe works I bet you find that someone really soon.
