No news - Argggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
Our parent who put the proposal in is going to phone the agent at lunchtime - so I want everyone sending good vibes and imagining MG sitting with a school of children and chocolate birthday cake - and just as the kids stop singing "Happy Birthday" - the phone goes with the news that the building is ours:j:j:beer::j:j
I feel so sick - can't make up my mind whether its nerves, tummy bug or a reaction to the bowl of buttercream that I just cleaned out. Bad Mum - didn't even let the baby kno there was a bowl to be licked.
Last night I set a few intentions:
The first was that I could have copy of "The Secret" of my own - because there are some truly remarkable and inspiring quotes that I would like to paint on my walls. So I scribbled it upon my dream board.
The second is that my DS1 would acquire everything he needs to study with the Suzuki Violin teacher after the summer. He will need a violin and bow, a case, Suzuki music books - Oh! and the sum of £13 per lesson. I have no idea how this is going to manifest - but will just trust that the universe will send me clues in the meantime. I've taped a sign to my music stand.
The third, that DS2 is happily weaned and moved into his own room - just realised that there is no room in my life for the perfect man because I am sharing my bed with a little one - How did I miss that? So I've put a sig nup on the spare room reading "Rowan's Room" and have emailed the girlies to see if anyone can help me over the weekend to shift some bits n pieces.
I set an intention that I can collect enough money to pay 1% of the mortgage in the next 30 days. So far beyond my resources at the moment that I am really excited to find what is passed my way. Thats £1240 BTW. So i have written the amount on a sheet of paper with "paid in full" in red ink on it.
I've realised that I hate my front door - no really. It houses the letterbox from hell that brings bad bills into my life. I've now got a sign on the door stating "Expect a huge Cheque" instead.
The last - that we get the school and Colin and Justin agree to come and help us design a wonderful environment for these wonderful kids.
I have given myself the gift of feeling truly upbeat and positive today - and that's the best Birthday pressie of all.

PS I'm off to pack a load of boxes atthe school - and the I will reward myself with a huge slice of choccie cake.XX:TFINALLY AND OFFICIALLY DEBT FREESmall Emergency Fund £500 / £500

Happy Birthday MG. What size violin would your DS1 need?

Thought I should really stop lurking to say Happy Birthday!
I'm really enjoying your diary0 -
Clooties Mum -put the book down if its causing you pain. Now might not be the time for you to read and get something positive - the book will be there in years to come when you are ready to venture near its pages again.
I don't think your thoughts caused any of those things - I think we are each on our own path. You on yours, your Mum on hers, your Dad on his. We are born into the families that although we might not neccesarily choose - are the right ones to learn the lessons we need to learn.
I spent time in Bali - and was honoured to invited to a funeral whilst there. They believe that the body has to be cremated and the ashes returned to the sea before you can be reborn back into your "soul group" I think is the nearest translation I've come across. The young lad being "reborn" that day had died on his scooter (after having drunk a lot)
His Grandmother calmly told me that he had always been an unhappy soul - and that her lesson from him had been that she could love the boy without loving his choices. His Mother said she had learned that she can't always "fix" life for those around her, that bringing those souls into creation was enough, his Father that he can't protect everyone he loves but that loving them is enough, his brother learned that its possible to love deeply, and hate deeply and then return to love.
It was so unlike any other "mourning day" I have experienced. From that family I have learned "To try" to keep love for the persons soul in my heart, whilst allowing the emotions to rage and roll through me until I finally, in the calm I find the lesson, the gift they left me.
All my life I only wanted girls. I wanted a man to take care of me (like the men in our family never did) I wanted girls (because we don't do raising boys very good) and I wanted a father who would stay around to raise my children (cos my Dad didn't)
What did I get. Two boys, no father and no wider family support..............but do you know what?? My boys are the biggest blessing the universe could have sent me - they have taught me how to love and be loved by Men in the most pefect way. They have taught me that men can be kind and generous and loving and sweet. They have taught me that I can be independant, and resourceful and creative ................. and I wouldn't change one moment of a pretty horrible chilhood if it meant spending a second less with them. They are my teachers too.
Right!!! I'm going to go pack up some more before I start crying - because I remember someone telling me once its unlucky to cry on your birthday. And I'm in the whole yummy Mummy stylee today - OH yes!! brushed teeth, combed hair and matching socks:rotfl:
I do remember when it used to be full make-up, hi-lighted hair and matching underwear - but that was another lifeFINALLY AND OFFICIALLY DEBT FREESmall Emergency Fund £500 / £500

I didn't even know there were different sized until yesterday:rotfl:
The answer is I don't know - but what your question has taught me is that I need to be more specific about my goals. Thanks Firewalker
How do I work out what size he needs.? He is 9 - nearly ten, about 5ft high if that helps??

MG, he will probably need 1/2 size then, but if I were you I'll ask a violin teacher. BTW this is a pitty because I have a 1/4 one which I was going to offer. Also, buying children's violins is best done through schools and music teachers - it will likely cost you about £20 - but once you have one you can exchange it.
Good luck in all that - how does your son feel about playing the violin?
