Thanks to eveyone who took the time to send me Birthday Wishes - I had no idea so many people were "listenning in"

    So a quick update:

NO NEWS FROM THE SCHOOL - Really beginning to sweat because we now only have 10 weeks to find and sort out another building if this one falls through:eek:

    BIRTHDAY STASH

A Copy of "THe Secret" of my very own
A copy of "Confessions of a Bad Mother" - v funny
A pink rubber duckie for my bath
A can a coke and vodka

A bottle of white wine and a chinese carryout from Mum
£50 from Mum (to get hair done for wedding)

£20 from my Mums Best Friend (not to be spent on the boys apparently)

A trip around to my Best Friend in the evening to drink a bottle of Cava and have a giggle with her, her mum and her husband sitting out inthe garden. Then it got cold and me and DS2 came home about 9.

DS1 got me a lucky black stone for my pocket - which got us talking about "good luck icons" He was on the field at school when a ladybird landed on him - thats lucky!!! Later he found a pound in the swimming pool carpark:j And he gave it to me to have a birhday can of ice-cold diet coke from the vending machine:beer:

    BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT OFTHE DAY

Our kindy teacher discovered that she hasn't had a tummy bug this last week. She has been turning really green and feeling poorly (and she's Nigerian so when I say turned green she was really feeling bad) She's actually pregnant :j:j:j

She was a bit baffled as to why we were allso pleased for her, worried about landing us in the lurch etc!!!!! !!!!!! - shes preganant and we couldn't be happier. OK so we will haev to find another teacher - but when could a baby ever be bad news?????

All broody for her now and wanting to get the knitting needles out :rotfl:Do babies wear much hand-knitting in Nigeria?????

Spendie today should be some cheese for pizza and some fruit juice as DS1 is having a sleepover with 2 of his friends tonight sothey have "ordered" Pizza, popcorn, mango frozen yogurt and a Muppets Fest :rotfl: Easily pleased are boys of ten.

Later my friends - hopefully with some news

Glad you had a wonderful birthday - and I hope there is good news today.

I'm still persevering with The Secret - some parts do make sense - you know when your day starts badly & then continues on that way - SO TODAY IS A GOOD DAY.

Hope to hear from you soon with the news about the school

I've just got back from the school - still no news. I'm going to keep on "acting as if" we've gotthe property and sew up all these little aprons I am in the middle of.

The file boxes we were given yesterday are absolutley perfect for storingall our materials in - so I'm taking that as a positive sign and will start filling them.

I knwo what you mean about when your day starts off rough - it gets rougher. Today I chose not to turn on the news and to start my day with some calming classical tunes instead. I feel brilliant - and you know the distasters and dramas can keep on happening out in the world - but for today I have created a little bubble of calm in the MG Houselhold.

    Well - when I say calm, we've

    Done 3 loads of washing
Tidied DS1 bedroom for 2 x 15 minutes for his sleepover
Done a run to school with the boxes
Done the LIDL shop £9.41 - will update in a mo
Done meal plans for this week - mega frugle
    Hoovered right through
BM on for pizza dough and garlic bread for tonight
Popcorn maker taken out and corns ready
Mix for frozen yogurt waiting in fridge to be churned.

Still got to make all the beds needed for tonight
    Finish the Aprons
Create a babies bedroom out of our guest room (need to borrow a hubbie for that one I think)

    ................but............................

I'm still expecting that huge cheque any day now:j:j

    Happy Monday Guys

NOthing on the email this morning about the school. It is now exactly 10 weeks until the start of the new term - 3 week till the end of this one and I still don't knwo if we have a home

Positive spin "we have a whole ten weeks to create the perfect school"

Had a bit of a session in the kitchen yesterday using up some bits n bobs.

Made enough Cornish Pastie filling to fill 8 large pasties. I haven't made them in the pastry as we like them freshly baked - and my freezer doesn't have that much space in it. But I've go eight little baggies of mix stashed away.

Got a hlaf price bag of spinach on Saturday - which is now cooked down and frozen for a spinach lasange in the future. I think of these little tubs as my "building blocks" for future meals ans spinach always seems to go slimy the moment your back is turned.

I made 3 little dishes of potato gratin with the smidge of cream left over from my birthday cake on Friday. I had one dish for my dinner along with a sliced tomato and was eating it when my friend brought the kids back from an afternoon out. Apparently its not a proper dinner:rotfl: But I have to say I enjoyed every single delicious creamy garlicky mouthful ............. so go on then ....

..........when you don't have to feed the hoards whats your secret food treat???

Sun is out - so I'm popping out to throw the rest of the washing on the line - the I will try to persuade the bubs to getout of bed.

Been onto the online banking and realised that i have OVER HALF of my £124 target squirreled away :j:j Soon be there with th ecolouring in of my first leaf. Depending on petrol this week I should also scrape through the £500 target barrier too - which will definitely let me sleep better at night knowing we have built up our little cushion again.

" A shower of money flows over me soaking me in it's abundant droplets":T

I'm still expecting the huge cheque.

My trouble is i like too many nice food things. You can't beat chilli on a sweet potato jacket, or i make us all my special beans which just means i fry off an onion and some garlic and add some baked beans and sweetcorn. I could also eat my carrot and red lentil soup daily.

In terms of money coming back to you, i had a bit of good news. £350 of extra tax credits in my bank account that i wasn't expecting. Maybe you will get some of that. :D

Together  Actually now I come to think about it that would be really nice with some rocket salad and beetroot:)

I'm thinking Gold - because I feel like a Gold Medallist having just committed to starting on this journey - have actually looked out a gold pen.

I think I probably have an unresolved "Gold Star Issue" from my childhood:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
