What a difference a day makes! Glad things are moving magically in your favour MG :T0 -
Ooh memorygirl, I'm another one that's been reading through from the beginning (although I did realise that in the process I was abandoning things in my own life that needed doing, so I stopped around page 12, picked it up when all the new excitement started going off, and have just finished :T) I'll save the bit in the middle for a rainy day :j
I'm in awe and impressed at all your achievements! :T And very excited indeed about the challenges ahead. I've subscribed to your blog, and I'm in for the challenge too!
I just did my workings out - worked out at £47.27 an hour - but I only work 14.8 hours a week now :rotfl: So doubling my income would be very easy indeed - just need to work another couple of days, which is my intention after Christmas :T However, I then put down that ideally I wouldn't want to work more than 3 days a week in the end, so I landed up with £47.
Looking forward to the next installment! :j0 -
Oh, wow, what happened to this thread??
I've been lurking for a while so hello Everyone! but haven't been reading for the last week or so and I can't believe I nearly missed Mr Big and blog, etc... It took me a good hour to catch... I am now a follower on your blog Memorygirl and looking forward to participate in challenges:).
Can I have link to the book pls so I can order it? Thank you!
No time for posting more as spent my lunch break reading your thread only:D.0 -
OK, serious note.....
On this journey of ours, we have to learn to value ourselves at the right level. For many of us this is difficult to do, as we either think that we are not worthy, or we think that others wouldn't be able to pay a given amount.....
I guess that part of what Mr Big is doing at this stage of the challenge is to get us (and especially MG) to think hard about what we are really worth.
To that end, therefore, MG, I really do think you should up your P&P for the books.
I know that you are only charging what it costs for the actual postage element - £1.11......but you are not charging for your time and effort in going to the post office etc. Now I know you are doing it for a number of reasons like that. eg, building up a customer base, trust, the fact that we are all on MSE so must be skint, etc etc etc.
BUT, you have to value yourself properly, and even if you only up it to £1.95 it is a "value" whereas at the moment, on posting the books, you are working on giving yourself a value of "nil".
It might not seem like a lot, but if you sell 100 books with the extra 84p, that is £84.......one of your hours on the Mr Big challenge is now accounted for!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Good suggestion Hypno! :T
(does that count as 'help', and therefore mean that MG has to say yes??? :rotfl:)
I just worked out my numbers again - £35.42 an hour is what I'm aiming for. Which is ludicrously 'low' - but that's because I only work 14.8 hours a week at the minute :rotfl: So if it goes on my actual pro rata salary (before tax - the other number was based on actual income after tax)), it would be £109.70. Hmmm. If I earned £109 an hour I'd only have to work 1.5 hours a week - now that sounds appealing! :rotfl:0 -
Can someone explain how we work it out? Are we then meant to do stuff to the equivalent of that? Do we do partners and total it together ?I AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. Happy, if you read back a couple of pages, Hypno's explained it very simply. Or the original instructions are on the blog (and there's instructions on how to get to the blog a couple of pages back too if you haven't found it yet!) :T0
