someone (and you know who you are :D) was on the edinburgh - glasgow train this morning about 11am.

how do I know that??? Because i've just been contacted by the training manager of one of the big accountancy firms in glasgow asking if i can help them get their trainees better able to manage their workload.

apparently you were reading the book and she noted down the title and the authors name and tracked me down in cyberspace.

so thank you whoever you are - it seems like the universe is conspiring to play along with us on this isn't it.

OMG, WOW that is simply amazing.

Hope ds is feeling better today after his mis-hap.

Does anyone know how to fix a chip in a sink. I dropped a glass into it this morning, the glass don't break but the sink now has a chip and a hairline crack.

Right im off to read my missing bits:)

I dunno clootiesmum - is there anyone out there who knows the ins and out of blogger and can help us newbies out????

Not sure if this is the way you're meant to do it, but it seemed to work for me...

When I log-in as a follower, it shows my name and picture (positioned above everyone else's pictures). There's an 'Options' button, click on that then click 'Site Settings', then 'Edit basic info' and you can manually change your profile follower name there and save it. I think you can add a profile photo that way too.

Hope I've got that right - can someone else shout if not!

i am pooped - just got one ds off to bed - although he is still singing his teddies a night-night song.

i am on the last steps to having a lovely tidy living-room so i will be sure to take some photos before the kids get up in the morning, but the light has gone really wierd here - like just before a thunderstorm kind of wierd.

the clean-up after dinner took no time at all - maybe because i was starting from a clean slate. my sink is shining and table set for breakfast - all whilst the kids were reading one another bedtime stories (DS1 and ds2 know the Gruffalo off by heart)

DIY day tomorrow - sorting out hanging rails and shelves in the hallway and if the weather improves i'd love to wash the sofa covers.

one more job to do - tidy up the bathroom ready for a scrub out in the morning as usual.

too tired to think of anything inspiring - this is beginning to feel like "Kim and Aggies" Boot Camp - LOL. but my house has never looked more like a home -so yipee!!!!

I've just tried this because as well as wanting to add a photo I wanted to edit my name as it showed my full name and I wanted to remain anonymous. It works very well! Not probs at all so thanks. Except my avatar is too big so I could only use a part of it sniff!

Thank you MemoryGirl, like I really needed to get addicted to another site/ blog on the internet1 :rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi All

Didn't get chance to catch up or do anything yesterday following my first day back at work and then Beavers in the evening. So just though right I'd better start on my kitchen and my heart sank. So can you send me some motivation to get started - sorry I know everyone else is fired with enthusiasm - I was until I realised what a state my kitchen was in.

What always works for me is the Flylady mantra "You can do anything in 15 minutes". I often walk into my bombsite of a kitchen and I want to close my eyes and walk back out.
But, I put the kettle on and first empty the dishwasher. Then promise myself I'll just tidy for as long as it takes the kettle to boil. I always finish it and it never takes longer than 15 minutes.

Once it's tidy, then you might surprise yourself and get on a roll and really blitz it, but if not at least it's tidy and you will be so pleased with yourself. Mind games work everytime for me! :)

just go shine your sink - then stand back and admire it.

i'ma bit hazy about what happens after that, but coffee with large amounts of brandy and alanis morisette on full blast did it for me

    "isn't it iroooooooooonnnnnnnnnniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiccccccccccccc doncha think!!!!!"

good luck hon - you know yourself that once you are started its never quite so bad. If it makes you feel any better i'm off to do the loo - and we are training ds2 to stand and pee, and well, you know how little boys aim????????

betcha that brings back some memories for some mums on here tonight - lol
