  • Hope the boys are better soon.

I can really relate to the really looking at your environment thingy. I've been decluttering seriously for about two years now off and on at really does make a difference. I get frustrated though because I can't get it done quick enough but patience never was my strong point.

Never thought of myself as a negative person when I was younger but find lately I have to work really hard not to be. Which I don't like and I'm trying to change with a vengence.

Good luck with the challenge it sounds very exciting and you deserve it.

It has been hard work emotionally though, with guilt feelings and am I doing the right thing with getting rid of somethings and I've also been surprised at how threatened some people seem to be by my doing it.
  • What I have a real problem with when I am decluttering are the thoughts of "oh, so and so gave that to me" or "that belonged to Great Aunt Gertie and it would be a shame to get rid of it". Well, stuff that. I am throwing away the thing, not the person who gave it to me. And if I want to remember it in great detail, then I should just take a digital photograph of it. Takes up a lot less space that way! :) I haven't actually got round to implementing this you understand... its just that mental breakthrough that I have had!! :)

Never watched "sex and the city" so no idea who Mr Big is.

All of this though puts me in mind of Charlies Angels. Brought a smile to my face reading his challenge (whilst hearing it in Charlie's voice) Of course the TV version was better than the film, but does that show my age?

Although I can access MSE @ work (for the moment) there are only 3 computers in the canteen where I can access your homepage.

So you've had me running back & forward like a dingbat - Thank you.

Must remember to bring in my netbook tomorrow to check ALL the details at my desk.

Will work out the necessary figs when I go home (they're all on a spreadsheet as you would expect from a reconciliation analyst :D)

    Catch up later

Just realised that I am going away on Thursday until Monday. So I must go and buy a dongle thing tomorrow. Never even thought about one of these before so I would be grateful for any advice as to which kind to buy. I really must keep on top of this challenge whilst still having some fun. My challenge for myself anyway is to find more of a work life balance so this could be the start of it. Shouldnt be too bad working the figures out as I have already started to that anyway. I assume that we dont need to post these publicly.
