Hope DS is ok now. One of mine kissed the stone flag path one day and sported a HUGE egg for a couple of days. I kept an eye on her - after seeking advice from my Mum and nursey sister. Next time I was at the Doc's I asked her and she said no point going to A&E as they wouldn't do anything as long as she was lucid, not sick or drowsy.
They are tougher than we think - but v. scary for you
BTW I love that you call "him" Mr Big - does that mean we all have to get glammed up a la Carrie on Thursday?!(hope so - any excuse!)

Hi!
Been wanting and waiting to get on here all day, but been at work!! Home now, and the updates are making me smile with real joy!!
Not me on the train today I'm afraid, though often in the central belt on business MG. Loved the book myself, and going to put it into action very shortly - wish I could draw though!!
Off to my second pilates class tonight - am in the process of making a new life for myself, so trying out all sorts of things I've always wondered about and never done. Tomorrow will be my first proper training run for a 5k race in early October - eek!! walked most of the route in 35 minutes the other night though which seems reasonable, so even if I can only run half of it....??
Raisin bread? is there a recipe anywhere?? Please? Dont have a breadmaker though - is that a problem? Lovely as it smells and tastes, bread, especially just out the breadmake doesn't seem to like me...

MG - so glad DS is okay - it has been windy in Perthshire today too - car door got caught by the wind and slammed on my foot as I was about to get out - ouch - nothing like as scary as what happened to your DS, and my boots took most of the impact but it has been very gusty out there - hope you're feeling a bit less jangled by now.
I'm very much prepared to help you, can come over when you need extra hands for things like envelope stuffing or other practical stuff. Would be an absolute pleasure to help, please keep me in mind.
As for me, I have an idea for a community development project which would be in addition to my part-time work, and given I am still on long-term treatment for a chronic disabling condition, and my energy levels are variable, I can give it 1 day a week. That day will be Friday. So I'm setting myself a 100 day challenge to develop this idea. Thanks for the inspiration, both you and Mr Big! It would be forever an idea unless I do something with it.
Have subscribed and registered as a follower on the blog, it's going to be some ride!If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Glad DS is ok MG, what an exciting/ up and down kind of day for you. The power of the internet/goodwill is great.
I have found the blog, but not sure if i am subscribed to it.
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
