So it's competitive - if you fail someone else gets mentored ????

    mmmmmm

** goes off to work out how to trip up Memory Girl in a Scooby Doo type fashion **

    Only kidding :p

Do you know what country he's on the road in? The time difference (if you know where he is) might enable you to have few [STRIKE]hours[/STRIKE] minutes relaxation......

    Just a thought....

Your signature is marvellous! Not everybody "gets it" right away, whatever "it" may be

I was going to comment on that - particularily now that the killer keynote is about "Getting IT" - but then i no longer "believe" in coincidences, I expect those little miracles to signpost my route ahead.

makes my heart soar to spot them though

I would have been finished by now but sadly my Granny passed away and I had to travel back to Ireland to bid her fare well.

Thanks Short_bird I get 'it' more and more as time goes by. I just wish that I knew then what I know now, then I wouldn't be in this sorry mess, but hey hoo I know it now.

our condolences roomontheend - i think we can all relate to the saying goodbye to a granny or grandad. like ireland of course, here in scotland the wake is anything but a sad and somber occasion.

it doesn't matter when you get it -as long as you recognise when you do.

Oh No Memorygirl I just clicked on your thread and I am hooked. I have 80 pages to get through. I just read your post about buying shoes in advance for your baby. I do this all the time (not for a baby) but buy things in advance at knock down price.

When my boy was a lad, there was a market stall selling discontinued Clarkes shoes. I used to get him measured and then go and buy some (sometimes quite obscure) shoes or boots in the correct fitting. They cost about a fiver instead of £20-30 and this was 20 years ago!

Anyway I can't wait to read your diary, catch up and then follow you. :)

MG, I don't post on your thread but I do read, and I am so so pleased that you have made the progress you have. Over the years that I have been on MSE, I have seen so many good things come out of people's despair. These boards play a huge part in it - with the support of strangers who become friends who we will never meet, but don't forget the simple fact that you are worthy of the success you get going forward, because YOU are doing the work. YOU are coming up with the ideas and having the courage to do them, and YOU are taking the risk when life is already (in the eyes of many) presenting you with more than enough challenges!

So, be hugely proud of what you have achieved so far, for yourself, your family, and for the many many people that you are inspiring to help themselves on MSE and beyond.

    :T:T:T

thank you so much for that post hypno - it means a lot that you would take the time to join in for a while.

i am beginning the process of accepting that i am worthy of everything that is happening to me - i think i have slowly over the last few years become more accepting of living a smaller and smaller life. this thread has slowly brought me to the realisation that this is not the example i want to show my boys.

i want to show them that with hard work and a vision you can go out into the world and have so many fantastic experiences and wonderful adventures. i want my boys to grown up having the confidence that they can contribute, that they can make a difference for others - and i wasn't living that truth very honourably.

I'm now coming to realisation that if i stop fighting the universe - and just "let go - let God" - then by going with the flow my boys can see a healthy, happy and motivated mother. By accepting that by serving others i can achieve my hearts desire for my boys is challenging me at times - but i'm working on how controlling i am.

Accepting this challenge from our Transatlantic friend is quite frankly - giving me palpatations. i'm handing over "control" to someone else - and I don't even know the guy:eek:

and can i confess something else - i read your diaries long before i plucked up the courage to start this one - so thank you helping me pluck up the courage in the first place.

Good going Memory Girl. Can't wait to hear what the challenge is. Still trying to catch up on this thread and keep going back and for till I completely confuse myself, not that it takes much.

So good to see someone else who loves knitting even if it is ages since I have done any thing much but i did learn to knit some very interesting beads the other week. It appears that you are knitting a normal sqare patch but when you take it off the needles it's a tube that is closed at the bottom so you only need to turn it inside out and stuff.

ooh that sounds like fun - and it sounds quick - have you got a linkie to some instructions??

Is it possible "HE" is awaiting a certain number of followers before the next challenge is sent?

From previous IM - this could be 30 **please insert appropriate smiley - confused but with the a-ha moment**
