Thanks, quite a few people have said that. Maybe if I finish work in a few weeks I might just start writing. It has been a lifetime ambition to write a novel or short stories. Who knows.

Good grief! As per usual I miss out on a few days, however do get to read a whole host of fantastic posts and exceptional reading material in one go!...the romatic in me loves the seredipity meeting/re-kindling of :Asoul-mate stories:A

I hope everyone has had a few highs this past week (to counter-balance the lows;))
I am the most prolific stalker/lurker on many, many threads however can categorically say that this is by far the best thread in the errmmm.......UNIVERSE:T

And then I spoke to another friend, who just said to me. He is going to ask you out - that man will ask you out. I laughed and said how do you know? And she said how do you know he won't?

Either position is kinda ridiculous really so if I am going to pick a ridiculous position I may as well pick the one that puts a smile on my face! And so that is what I am going to do!

Any how just thought I'd share.

What's stopping you asking HIM out - after all he made the effort to get back in touch - come on, read your signature . We only regret the things we didn't do (sort of ).

ps. In Tayport tomorrow doing that long-awaited car-boot-sale...if you're in the vicinity, you must say to each and every car-booter "nattypants?":D you never know by some cosmic intervention we may be able to identify one another.......causing of course the Tayporters some concern that we are infact part of a Scottish spy espionage ring by communicating in code name only!

Okay...of I pop to sort through the clutter cupboard into nice wee piles of, soon to be pennies:)

Cherisong - I also meant to add that I think you have a fantastic writing style and would make a wonderful creative writer/author...go for it!!

Just sticking my head round the door to say hi, but I've stopped long enough to read the last couple of days...
MG, that'a a rubbish situation over the credits, I hope they get their act together immediately (why do these things happen over BH weekends?) and meanwhile you find the milk money. Keep your chin up, you've beaten the system with your mixture of creativity and stashing, and you'll beat it again.
All - these romantic stories are too intri... intrig... intriguin... fascinating, I shall keep reading!

MG, I am so sorry to hear about your current difficulties with the Benefits Agency. I have no faith whatever in government bureaucracy of any kinds (largely because I have worked in the public sector for many years now!). I really hope it gets sorted for you soon. We are all rooting for you.

I also wanted to say, thank you for the book recommendations. I bought the Secret and SUMO (thank you Universe, and Mr Amazon Man!!) and read them both within 24 hours. Both are very accessible and are, what my family call, BGOs. Blinding Glimpses of the Obvious. Marvellous. Going to go back over them this afternoon/evening with a notebook and pen at the ready. Currently working on positivity for my shower to be fixed. Hubby is working away at it valiantly, and I am totally positive that I shall be showering under it tomorrow morning. In return for his work, I am cooking a lovely homemade soup for him, and a nice dinner tonight too. And I might whizz up some cookies as well!

Now i was just pondering win/win solutions this very morning - let me back-track a little.

i drove to collect the kids from the pool in st andrews yesterday (the whole school goes swimming on a friday afternoon) DS2 fell fast asleep and i was doing that drifty-thinking thing you do when you are driving a well known route.

"what message is the universe sending me?? what has the screw up with money this week shown me?"

well where i got too is - i am hanging on to the safety of benefits and that is holding me back from going out and developping something wonderful. The universe has just sent me a message loud and clear that the "safety" of benefits is anything but. so step up, step out young lady and go and provide for your children.

Picked up my ds1`, the HT and her daughter (need to be back in my town for ballet at half-five so it makes sense that they all come home with me). got home, put the kettle on as kids went upstairs to play and we sat down to think "Whew!!! we made it, the first full week in our new school and all is well"

I had just started working around to the subject of me returning to work soomer than january (when ds2 goes to childrens house) when the phone goes. A guy i have known for a couple of years -

"can I call you back in an hour?" I say

"if you like, but I'm just around the corner" he says. BTW he lives in Birmingham so its not like i see him very often.

"kettles on then" i laugh and turn to HT. "There must be some reason he's turned up when i've made my mind up to move on - quick you put on the kettle - i'll hide the ironing"

Urmil turns up about 10 minutes later, with his brother Sanjay (a personal development teacher whom I greatly admire) and a press photographer called Mike.

the pure serendipity-doo-dah of a speaker turning up at my door on the day i make a decision at the depths of my soul to go back to work is just breathtaking.

long and short of it is

1. he wants me to take his course and create a mind-map of it that they can use instead of a manual.

2. he wants me to come - for free - to his course in nov and mind map it live for selling in the future

3. he has been told my story over the last year by his brother and thinks that although my mind mapping training is "five star" - that i should also consider crafting a killer keynote of my story to use as a motivational experience for others.

so i went to bed last night thiking - ok, in the morning i have loads to share with my MSE mates (and you are, even though you are in virtual space). deep in every fibre of my being i know i have made a shaft and am ready now to go and create a business out of nothing.

off to change smelly baby - back in a moment.............
