[QUOTE=Memory Girl;36127471well where i got too is - i am hanging on to the safety of benefits and that is holding me back from going out and developping something wonderful. The universe has just sent me a message loud and clear that the "safety" of benefits is anything but. so step up, step out young lady and go and provide for your children.
    MG[/QUOTE]

Correct! MG, you worked it out for yourself - which BTW is one of the laws of the Universe. I briefly considered telling you but did not dare do so - I just sent complementary messages to the Universe.

The Universe was also saying 'Don't be afraid! As it is, the situation you are in is more scary that what you want to do. Don't let this distract you from what should be your main aim - independence.' Now I would like to remind you that there are two stages of independence: 1) off benefits; 2) create passive income streams.

    Good luck.

    :eek::eek: whew!!!! that was a horror :eek::eek:

i have about 30 pm's asking for details of my old book from peeps wanting to help their kids with studying - or wanting to help themselves for that matter.

IF I were to list the books on amazon or something - could i direct those who are interested over to there so that they can get them? or would that get me into trouble with the mods??? maybe to play it safe i could send the particulars of the book by pm to those who are interested - would that be ok?

I am very interested in this - please pm me the details.

Do any of you lovely people know happen to know if old Lego (I mean late 50's early 60's) is worth anything? Some is still in orginal box with photo-shots of kids enjoying themselves....y'know the days before bubbles and kedge became the norm;)

ps.MG sorry to hijack this thread with such a random question:o

MG, funnily enough shortly after sending you the PM I came up with the same idea myself, so it must be the way forward!
I'm not too sure about the strictness of board etiquette so it might be best to PM the link, or else we could just send our addresses and you could post us the book with your account details (if you trust us!) or paypal account and we could send the money that way, that would save you something in Amazon fees (and you'd get the money quicker probably too). You're right, it's a win-win situation :j

De-lurking to say I am also interested, so if you do decide on the Amazon route, could you please pm me the details of your books?

    Many Thanks
When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on

  • Hi Memory Girl et al

I've been reading this thread for a while, it's really inspired me to make some changes in my life. Of course I ordered The Secret (how could I not after reading all the recommendations!) and I've started seeing changes already. I might share more details of that later.

I am about to start a PGCE (that's PGDE to you Scots) so as a future teacher I would be very very very interested in learning more about mind mapping and other study skills so PLEEEASE send me a link to your book on Amazon!

I just want to say that you're a very inspiring person whose posts always seem so uplifting.

Still lurking, still flaming pregnant :rotfl:Keep getting the house into a wonderful place to have the baby: fresh flowers, clean floors, full cupboards, fresh cakes that kind of thing. Having loads of contractions/signs that labour is due any time then nothing happens :o Even the midwife said I'm miles off after she, er, had a rummage yesterday :o

I love how positove this thread is, really cheers me up.

Rebecca, don't want to stick my nose in or cause offence, but I would seriously consider changing your username on here. I'm a teacher too and the kids WILL google you (unless of course that's not your real name at all :rotfl::cool:)
    Updating soon...
  • De lurking to ask for the link to the book too please?

    Thanks

Ha ha! Don't worry, it's not my real name! It's a character from a book. And I am well aware the kids will be googling me, that's why I've changed all my facebook privacy settings! There are some photos and such that I definitely wouldn't want unleashed!
