Memorygirls - Make Do and Mend

Amusingly the board wouldn't let me post the plural of AS. I tried to edit it a few times before I realised what it was objecting to.0

Sorry for the triple post, but if it is courses for sixth formers, then it is the parents you need to target more than the teenagers, they are the ones who will be paying for it and the ones who will be worrying about their DCs. Facebook may not be their ideal milieu.0

I'm so excited - FOR THEM!!!!!!
Come on everyone - lets all imagine him carrying her over the threshold of nattys house, which is naturally their "dream house"
I'm off to celebrate for them already - a very large, very dirty martini is calling my name:D

The couple were fab:-))))) Just how I imagined them to be....fairly young and hip AND they had the cutest wee baby girl.
Even if I have to drop the asking price by a few £££'s so they can afford it...I want it to be them, I want it to be them....I want it to be them:D:D:D
Thank you thank you thank you MG, Friends and Universe:A

Well the universe is sending me hints this morning - great big lurking ones. I've already been contacted by two very upset parents in brum that I know, who have teenagers. Both kids didn't get the grades they wanted and now don't know if they will even be able to get places in clearing.
About 18 months ago I offered to spend a day with these two - and six of their friends to share my course and set them up with great study habits. Looks like the six who bothered to turn up that Saturday got excellent grades (still to hear from one but other five got fabulous grades) - and the two who thought it was a waste of a Saturday - well, I feel so sorry for the hurt they are feeling today.
I guess my dream job would be to get hold of every 16 year old in the country and share with them these skills that make studying sooooo easy - and make sure they can get the results they want for the dream of a life they envisage.
So todays question for the universe - and its corporeal helpers in cyberspace.
"Show me how to connect with the universe so that the huge numbers of students who want to excel can quickly find me and we can share these easy techniques to help them build the foundations of a fabulous life as i continue to generate abundance for my family?"
1. Get a teenager to start a "viral networking" campaign
2. Offer my services to a test school (create a report to use in other lea's)
3. Local press
4. advertise
5. Leaflet campaign
6. facebook and other social networking sites
Off to do a spot of housework to getthe dreative juices flowing.
back soon

Natty, exactly what happened to me when selling two previous properties. First one offered full asking price. Second one couldnt afford what I needed. I really wanted her to have it. Then I found somewhere that was cheaper than I expected which enabled me to drop the price for her. She is now very happily settled in her first house and by all accounts (she still drops junk mail at my friends for me) she is like a pig in clover there. And she says she hasnt even decorated!!!!
I feel an offer coming on.Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -

But some squares are less worthy. The cupboard in the hallway -a clutter magnet that I avoid going into, the space under the stairs, the unrenovated rooms that i can avoid going into for weeks. The piles of clutter taking up floorspace. All that stuff that is occupying valuable and expensive space in my home. Surely if its not worth £458 it would be better to let it go.

just wanted to unlurk to say that you have made a very interesting point. When we relocated we had to put all our possesions into storage which cost quite a bit of money. It actually made us question everything we had and whether it was worth the storage fee. We got rid of a lot of stuff once we looked at it like thatGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
You've made me so happy! I own 25% of my house which is such a warm and nourishing thought! Bagsy my bedroom. Or if I put my bed in the kitchen I could have the kitchen and bathroom. The bank can have all the bits with damp and condensation. And stains. And cracks.
I'm also very inspired by your packed lunches. I hate packing lunches! What a good idea to bake and freeze - let's see if my kids are as excited.
Just as an extra, I went to a school that taught exam and study/revision techniques which I know from personal experience is more important than the subject matter. I got an A for A-level Business Studies without attending the classes. The school had a 5 A-C pass rate of 100% at GCSE level and I'm sure this is a factor.
