Bl88dy h3ll, MG!
Another lurker here, but one who had to appear to say that this person's behaviour is totally and completely unacceptable. I can't believe that he would strike you (or anyone for that matter) for switching off a socket?!?!
I understand your reservations about taking action because of the potential impact on the children and the school - and really admire this - but I think you have to consider taking some steps.
Perhaps a good place to start is to consider what you would counsel a friend to do in this situation? What is your heart (as well as your head) telling you to do?
It's also quite possible that the HTH's has behaved like this in the past and you may actually be doing more good that you can currently anticipate by following up on this with the authorities or even within the school organisation itself.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do. And make sure you take some time for yourself this evening - you're bound to be shocked so don't put yourself under pressure to keep busy... unless of course, it helps!!
Off I go to hide again now...0 -
MG, a man like that who is clearly unbalanced shouldn't be any where near children. How could he hit you? What kind of person is he? That is how he deals with problems?
I would imagine this isn't the first time he has done this and the economy being what it is I doubt a head would leave a job right now,she is quite possibly used to covering up her husband's attitude/actions and your type of schools aren't ten a penny so she needs you just as much as you need her to a point and equally if she did !!!! off - well good luck to her, I am sure the universe would send you a proper head.
xxxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -

Keep writing, looking after these boys of yours and getting wealthy - in all possible senses of the word. Our Little Boy chose to stay with his Aunt for five days so we are on our own and missing him like hell. More time for writing though.
Firewalker
Nope - didn't see Scrooges post - will go off next to investigate.
Welcome back though my dear - we've missed you

MG, please report this man. Physical violence is just in no way okay especially in an environment such as a school. I can't quite believe it actually. If you don't report him you've effectively given him permission to do that
What a shame, and what an idiot (him, not you)
Still lurking, still pregnant. Flowers have died and now I'm worrying about giving birth without a vase of fresh flowers in the house. Very weirdUpdating soon...0 -

Aw Courgette - was thinking of you today when I was glossing - well you know how your mind wanders and I was wondering if you were still PG.
MR COURGETTE PLEASE LISTEN. Time to go shopping for some NICE flowers for Courgette and the Bump. - and none of your cheapie garage carnations either. You don't want your new babies first thought in this world to be "F**** sake - my Dad's a cheapskate":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I am going to the police station tomorrow - ours shuts in the evening, to see if they will have a word. I will email our headteacher when I actually have her on the phone to request the complaints procedure - I don' trust that the email won't mysteriously not be read IYSWIM.
If I was my friend - or another parent at the school I would ask them to take this further. So with a very heavy heart I will - God I hope this doesn't make everything explode.

I expect he is also hoping for this, so he can get off scot free. MG it is not your fault he hit you, so if the proverbial does hit the fan it all rests squarely at his feet not yours.0 -
What an awful person. Firstly male or female it was a ridiculous reason to lash out. Secondly he shouldn't hit a woman under any circumstances. Glad you are reporting him xxxTaking baby-steps :beer:0

Have just read this out to him, apparently it's 'in hand' as are the gifts for the midwife. He looked all smug as he told me this :rotfl:My best friend is getting married on Saturday so all I want babe to do is hang on in there until after that.
Dare I admit I think of you everytime I look at my rather scruffy looking front porch. If I haven't popped after the weekend I think I might try and tart it up a bit

You are doing the right thing MG. Remember that you are the innocent one here. All you did was to generously give up your time to help other people. I bet he is ****ing himself tonight - he deserves whatever he gets now.

The man deserves everything he gets and I'm pretty sure it will affect his CRB, isn't it that kind of thing (and worse) that it's in place to protect others from? What a nasty piece of work
Poor you, I can understand your concerns about working with him/how it'll affect the school getting ready in time etc, but am relieved that you're not going to work with him again.
