Hello Memory Girl and all fellow posters.

Finally I have caught up with this diary which has been a total inspiration and an eye opener. After an incredibly difficult nine months and an awful Sunday which I had been dreading for a long time (I wont bore you with the details) I found this thread on Monday morning. It was exactly what I needed to help drag me from a pit of despair - blimey that sounds so over the top seeing it written but summed up my mood entirely. I suddenly feel like I can see things a little more clearly and now have some motivation to move on inspired by everyone here. I have been planning and working like a crazy lady for the past couple of days and feel like I now have a plan to sort out the stuff which can be sorted. Anyway I just wanted to say........

a big thank you to Memory Girl and everyone else who has posted in this diary.

    Back to the planning.

    Have a lovely night everyone.

    P x

    Aw Thanks Parniphead

Hope youare feeling more positive about everything now - feel free to come in and rant anytime.

You know when the thread got started I thought it would just be a random list of To-Do lists and chores - but with you guys on board it has turned out to be so much more - and so much more helpfull for me.

Last night I got home from a whole day double-priming dark blue and dark red woodwork, fed the kids, waved DS1 off the spend the night at Grandmas, showered DS2 and popped him into bed.

I then moved all the bookshelves fom my hallway into my livingroom and reorganised everything. Tonight I need to get in to the attic to bring down the half-doors that cover the bottom of the bookshelves and continue painting my furniture.

But my hallway is empty - and ready to be made gorgeous. When my fabulous cheque arrives I wil be bale to throw open the door and welcome it in.

    I know:D:D:D

Yesterday as I was priming I was singing a little song in my head to the tune of wheels on the bus

"£165 thousand pounds, thousand pounds, thousand pounds

£165 thousand pounds, Coming to me "

Meant I got a lot of painting done with the steady rythmn - but also kept me full of energy for the day during a pretty boring job by keepig my expectation really high.

Then again - maybe I've just lost it:cool:
