Would you womble?

Poll Title: Poll Started 14 Aug 2006. Would you womble? It seems some search outside supermarkets for others’ receipts, and then, if they were paid in cash and the loyalty points weren’t claimed, take them to customer services and claim them for themselves. Ignoring the potential legal issues - in terms of attitude, which womble are you nearest?
a. Orinocho. I'd happily hunt through bins and hedges
b. Tomsk. I'd occasionally peek, but not often
c. Uncle Bulgaria. I wouldn't search, but may do it if I happened on a receipt
d. Big person. Not a chance, never

Is there an option to employ a womble, thus reaping the benefits from a safer, more fragrant distance?April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200

I don't even check the method of payment. As I work opposite a Tesco supermarket I can get quite a collection each week.0

Definately an Orinocho I keep four cards supplied with points.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

I wouldnt do it, I doubt I even would if I found it just lying there, so there is no chance I am going in a bin for the sake of 50 points for some shop I dont use.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0

Uncle Bulgaria here, if I see a receipt when I packing my bags I always have a look to see if they have claimed their points0

I wouldn't go into a bin to retreive receipts for unclaimed points, but I have been known to take various items from bins and skips. I recently picked up 2 unopened rolls of wallpaper from a skip I happened to be passing - very useful for eBay packaging.
I'm sure it must confuse the supermarkets' market research efforts when loyalty card accounts include shopping details from several different customers with different shopping habits!0 -

I would say that I was an Unlce Bulgaria (keen but not so that I would hunt through bins!) until recently.
I posted on another thread that I had received a letter in July from Tesco Head Office, stating that they had noticed that I had a lot of manual adjustments on my card recently.
They reminded me that the t&c of Tesco Clubcard require that the card is presented at the checkout. Then they asked, was there any problem e.g. had I lost my card!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I made the mistake of adding the points to just one card, and also once or twice (no more than that) I noticed that the CS person had not scribbled thru' the bar code so I took the same receipt to another store the next day and had the same points added......I realise that is a bit obvious now, and yes, greedy.
Sorry, I just get a bit points/coupon/freebie obsessed sometimes! Have had to force myself to ignore receipts on the floor since then as I do not want to jeopardise my large stack of Tesco Vouchers, mostly earned through genuine shopping, petrol purchase and mega-use of till-spits & extra points coupons.
Has anyone else here had a wombling warning letter? No? It's just me then?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
