Anniestar - my list suddenly got smaller this afternoon - crossed everything out and carried forward to Wednesday :rotfl: Thank you for your lovely comment, without our drivers we are nothing and we have got some good ones.
Had a slight change of plan today as had a tesco £12 off voucher which was running out so went there. Spent £90 :eek:but have got a lot in. Also got 2 packs of their finest chicken kievs (proper chicken breast with the bone in) which had been reduced to half price so they have been bunged in the freezer and will probably have them saturday night.
Been to DD's school, collected and fed her & deposited her at the coach stop. Will have a snooze on the sofa later and set my alarm so I can pick her up at 11.30 - I am normally soundo by then!0 -
Me again, Well after my last posting I have not much:o rang about the order again. I am delighted(although the furry gang aren't:rotfl:) to report the Frontline order arrived in the post this afternoon. Can someone tell me why we in a major city get our post after 3.30 almost every day:mad::mad::mad:
Have done the deed. The cats all hate me. Ah well.
Sorted the fridge but didn't clean it. That's a delight for tonight/tomorrow. Well we all need something to look forward to don't we?:rotfl:

Anyway tea will be ?????? Answers to 0161 ??? ????:rotfl:
JackieG. nerd Moi? Anyway I am putting my degree to ("good") use:rotfl:And that is my excuse.
And anyway, I love General Elections. My dissertation was on the role of the media in British General Elections.(I know how to live)
Anyway, lady I am saving some housework for when you come to Manchester:rotfl:
Essex-girl meant every word. We were really touched when the snow was bad and you were more concerned about your drivers being safe. That really made a huge impression on us both.:T
Anyway, Will leave you all in peace.
Have a lovely evening.
Take care,

I put my little sewing machine in for service, I leant it to DGD for two years for her exams, she managed to break the needle threader which I knew about but it turns out that at some point she broke a needle and hit the hook race case, instead of £85 its going to be £150..... I am not a happy bunny.......
OH retired to bed when we got back from Tesco, once he was up we were out in the garden again, more plants in the soil. The top bed is now about ready for the mushroom compost to be spread on it. I re potted the camellia and peries in special compost and we have put another planter at the back of the house ready to make a second alpine garden. I have lined it we are filling it up with stone before we put the compost in it.

jackieglasgow Thanks for the advice about the Wii. I rang Nintendo this morning and they recommended trying a cleaning disc first so I ordered on this morning. Fingers crossed it works.
Hi LTL & Jackie, Please may I ask what advice this was? My Wii won't play certain games that the kids like (it seems to jump or skip). Have tried a cleaning disc, but no luck. Any hints and tips would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks :j
EMe, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
I simply suggested ltl call nintendo as they do a fixed price repair for their products. Our Wii was making a vibrating noise last year and they repaired it for, I think, something like £54. Can't remember to be honest as OH paid for it, but it was reasonable and prompt. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

Evening all
I had a fab day at work. My work kids are running Activity Days for local schoolchildren this week for the community part of the qualification we offer. Today they worked with a special needs school. We had 7 lovely children, all very low functioning, aged 13-19 but mentally 3-5. I was a bit worried about how well my work kids would interact as none of them have worked with disabled kids before, but they were fantastic :j:j I felt so proud of them
They did a nature walk where they collected leaves/feathers/flowers to make a collage, painting, ball games, football, skittles and a musical session. They had planned it all themselves. The weather was fab, sunny and warm so we were outside most of the day. I truely love my job
.
Then tonight I went for dinner with the girls. We went to La Tasca and used the 50% off voucher.
I'm shattered now, going to have an early night I think. DW went on earlier as I knew I would be too tired to wash up.
Have a good evening all

Evening all. How come I am always this late looking at the thread? I finish work at three (ok I did walk five miles home), only have DD at home and am fairly up to date with housework. Must try to organise my time better!
Didn't hang the washing out today as rain was forecast but it never happened. The washing is on the rack. Had loads of washing dried on the line yesterday though - got a bit overwhelmed after the visitors. It is still dry but quite chilly now. Will have to close the chooks house in a bit to keep them cosy.
DD went off to a hockey match earlier, just beginning to think she should be home by now. Not sure how long the match lasts but 2 1/2 hours seems to be a long time!
Tea was a quick omlettte for her and pasta for me. Going for a nice warm bath in a bit and an early night.
Take care all.0 -

Had a !!!!!! day at w*rk, glad to be away from there until next week. I am sriously seriously considering going to Uni, College or something else. I have a degree already, and used it for all of 3 months:o when I graduated - I had decided after 3rd year I didn't want to do what I was training for (I did a vocational qualification alongside my BA), but thought it better to finish it as I might change my mind. I didn't, although now I feel as if I might be better at the job with some age and wisdom behind me. So I'm thinking of looking into counselling courses or education of some sort (not schools). My menial job has filled a gap whilst the boys are young but I'm bored to tears and not giving 100%. Not to mention the way I've been messed around over flexible working.
Anyway, Os is not about my crappy job. Dinner for the boys is pizza from the freezer - not OS exactly, but HM. I am having toast and fried eggs because I fancy it! Pack ups to sort out, and cakes to make for the boys. Didn't do it yeasterday as I would have eaten them all myself!:rotfl:I will be clearing out the wardrobes after dinner and getting rid of the old clothes, some for passing on, the rest will go to the school's Bag4School collection next month. The wallpaper my lovely sis gave me is not enough to do what I wanted, so will be having a wee online search for something else later. Any suggestions for wallpaper online gratefully accepted.
Jackie I am so sorry to hear about your friend. Good wishes for him and his family, from me. X
PenPin good to hear you sounding upbeat today!
Candygirl, I can't believe you are having a sesh in a jacuzzi with a man you've just met!:p;):rotfl:
Anniestar Geekdom is taking over your life, reading polls instead of doing OS? Tut tut! :rotfl:
Have a lovely evening everyone, hugs to everyone I've missed, it's not deliberate, I've just taken up too much space already!:)
