    Hi Guys!

Feel a little more with it this morning, so thats good news. Nurse has been and decided against the extra shot of pain killer as I loose days and hate living like that.

WM has been on and OH hung outside. Toilet is cleaned:D DW has been emptied by DD and OH made american pancakes with syrup for breakfast as we got given some boxes of Aunt Jemima last week....yummy!!

My helper is here this morning, so will get her to do a few jobs around the house that need doing.

Dinner tonight is Quiche, New Pots and salad.

Sold a unit, so the people are collecting this morning.

Anyway, have a good day everyone.

    PP

Morning all – hope everybody enjoyed the bank holiday weekend. We had lots of rain, so we stayed on the sofa and watched TV. Shockingly lazy, but has to be done from time to time!
JackieO – so sorry to hear about your friend. ((hugs))

OS wise – lunch is HM Pasta Salad, egg sandwich (on wholemeal bread), yoghurt and a pear. Dinner will be chicken pie (HM using LOs from Sunday’s roast). Hopefully will finally finish off the accounts (so close – just a few bank statements to go through!). Could do with making a cake or something for OH’s lunches, otherwise he’ll go and buy stupid amounts of chocolate! Might go with a good old victoria sponge.
    Have a lovely day everybody,

Morning all :) hope you are all well :)

I made some apricot and hazelnut cookies last night - from an American recipe; I got 36 out of a mixture that was supposed to make 18 and they aren't small cookies either! Still, OH was very happy and I have bought the excess to work this morning. I made cheese and potato pie and a brocolli quiche in order to use up some of the things that were forming a new ecosystem in the fridge drawer. I have quiche for lunch :)

I sort of tidied the flat, then spread clay everywhere again. We went walking on saturday and came back with the first morels we've had this season and some St Georges mushrooms, plus a couple of things neither of us could identify.

Have a good day all, cel x

Morning all...............((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) if you need one.

Its very cold again this morning, dull too....hope its not going to rain I have the towels in the washing machine.

JackieO - I know what you mean, I nade a friend through the internet, she was getting married to her partner, their wedding was a lovely occasion, despite them knowing that P needed more treatment for his liver cancer, not long after their wedding they were told that there was nothing further they could do. P died on Valentiines day just 9 months after they married.

Its the dresded shop today, Tesco and Aldi, normally I would go to Aldi on a Thursday but they have nothing on offer this week that I am interested in, I am trying very hard to cut down on our shopping, having visitors this month is not going to help........ I have to clear the OD we ran up when we moved. They say the first year in a new house is the worst. Not getting a rise in our civil service pensions did not help, thankfully the council tax has not gone up this year. I have 2 big bills coming up, I have to pay for our wills and also the service on my little machine.......almost £300. Other things are going to have to wait I am afraid. OH has the money on one side for guttering for the shed and the tiles to replace the broken ones in the bathroom. We have spent a lot on plants for the garden.......I have a couple of packets on annual seeds, I am just going to sprinkle them in the gaps between the plants we have in.

Time to go. OH has gone to get the car from the garage......may be back later...

    Morning All!

Lovely and sunny in this part of the world today, if a little colder than you might expect once you step outside. Always better than rain though!

Had a good night last night, lost 5 and a half lbs at WW :j:j:j:j Just need to keep the momentum going this week & not get disheartened with a smaller loss next week (fingers crossed!).

OS wise, the washer was on this morning when I left for work, the chicken is defrosting for tea tonight (I'm trying chicken breast with stuffing wrapped in Mr T's Healthy Choice bacon, with lots of veggies - one of my more high pointed meals for WW!!), and I'll be having a turkey salad for lunch today. Some more decluttering tonight as well methinks, but that'll have to be after DD's parent's evening at school.

Hope you all have a great day.

    Morning folks.
Lovely to *see* you penpin. Hope you are ok today without the injection. I can understand how frustrating it would be for you to effectively lose a day. I'm going off to give our toilet a scrub - thanks for the reminder!

Sorry to hear your friend's news, jackieO. How difficult for them all.

I have my first yr PhD review today.(I know, I know...I wrote about it yesterday:p ). I'll be glad to get it over as it has been on my mind a lot. Not sure what it will bring but I am fairly resilient about bouncing back - have much experience:cool:.

Need to get DH to get up into the loft to retrieve my knitting which he so kindly put up there out of the way. hhmmm. It started off as a cable jumper for me but I changed after a few inches of the cable to a more plain pattern. I'll do the cable for that length again for the front and sleeves. I might even take back what i've done and persevere with the cable although I might be too old to get the blasted thing over my head by the time it's finished.

My sister is up from England this week so i'm enjoying spending time with her. i'm having a chilli and games night here tomorrow. Alcohol will be involved:D. There's a great game 'Scottish Quest' - I'm sure there are other ones as well. We are all quite competitive so it should be an interesting evening. Thinking of doing a cheap pud - have eggs and thought of something either meringue based or choc mousse type. When i had them round for tea the other night I 'served' curly wurlys for pud:D.

Ok, thoughts to all and (((hugs)))to those who would like one

    Hi all.

I'm just having a wee time-out as my hands are hurting, so I thought I'd drop by here.

JackieO so sorry to hear that your friend is so poorly; however much time he has left, I hope that he gets enjoyment out of it.

PenPin  good to see you feeling a tad more with it today. I'm lucky in that the morphine doesn't seem to knock me out at all (I wish it did sometimes - might help my chronic insomnia!:D)

OS today consists of catching up with the Flylady lists, as we were out at Stowe Gardens most of yesterday. We had lovely chocolate and courgette muffins in their tea shop, and they had leaflets with the recipe on, so I'll have a go at making them myself at some point.

I've also refined my meal plan/store cupboard and freezer list/grocery costs spreadsheets, so they're easier to read and have heaps of information on. I've got a "running total" of how much we're under/over budget, so that months like April, when we went £35 over, it's not as bad as it looks, because we stocked up with stuff from the Italian market on the last day of the month - and we had money left over from the previous 3 months, so over the whole year thus far, we're actually in credit.

Oh well, I guess I'd better get on; the jolly ol' paws are feeling a little easier now, so best crack on with cleaning the kitchen.

Have a good *checks calendar* Tuesday everyone.:)
