Items being stolen off my car
Options
Hello
Just wanted some advice please
I have noticed items being taken from my car - I wont give all details but recently I have had number plates taken, amongst other things too.
Just wondering whether this has happened to anyone?
My car isnt the newest - I am worried my car will be taken next.
Any advice appreciated

What do you mean by you won't give details?
Have you got any "enemies"? Someone with the same car could be taking bits off yours I suppose.
Or if they've taken the number plates they could be using them on a similar car - cloning it.

The number plates is quite a big issue and should be reported to the police.
Things could get much worse if you start getting congestion charge fines or speeding tickets from a car that matches yours and is now wearing your plates.0 -

Sorry just a bit paranoid about saying exactly what has been taken on a open forum..
None that I know of.. :A
Thats what I think, slowly but surely I have noticed other items being taken. The number plates is quite a big issue and should be reported to the police.

My OH bought me some bright pink thingys that went over the air thingys on my tyres (dust somethings?? You can see how much I pay attention....) and they only lasted four hours before some nob nicked them in Asda's carpark!
Does that count? LOL0 -

They looked like these - they're probably the same ones that he got me but we didn't bother to get anymore as they're obviously so highly prized that we might as well have just thrown them straight in the bin!
I quite fancy these ones though:eek:
I hope you get to the bottom of who's nicking your stuff though - it's really annoying but it's probably just kids. Remember that fad a few years back when all the Beastie Boys nicked the VW badges? The scoundrels!0 -

We had this happen to us. Our car got harvested for parts. Not number plates but car parts. They took a few bits and then a week later broke into the car and took lots more. We live in a quiet area and police thought the first theft was a trial run.
If your car is an old car and so hard to get parts for (as ours was) then this could be happening to you.
The number plate theft sounds more like someone cloning your car tho, not sure why they would take parts too.
Sorry, you wanted advice. My only advice is to look at where you park, consider additional security like a crooklock (if your car is old and more basic), check on the car during the evening more often, tell neighbours so they can keep an eye out and frankly just pray it stops!Debt at highest: £8k.
