Question about O2 simplicity
Comments

You won't get a new sim, it's just the standard thing that happens when an upgrade is done. Tariff transfer will start within 48 hours, but usually within the next few.
When you go from Pay & Go to a Simplicity, you get a new SIM card sent out to you.Trust me on this,I sell Simplicity for O2 currently.(hopfully not for much longer as I hate it!)0 -
Here is a link to the keep my number form on the O2 website:
Perhaps they've changed the way they deal with interal number ports at O2 since last July then (the last time I needed to use the porting service)
I can only give my personal experience on the three times I've ported a number within O2, and that may not necessarily reflect the experience someone may have if they port a number today.43580 -

Nope,they get a new SIM.
I've sold a couple to people coming off contract.
They don't get a new sim, they are upgrading!

O2 have made me obtain a PAC code from them to migrate from Pay Monthly to Pay as you go and vice versa. The PAYG PAC codes had the prefix GEN, which I would assume is from the days when it was Genie Mobile(?)
the pay and go ones dont, they start cpp this dates back to bt cellnet
the online postpay ones start gen this dates back to genie mobile
the store originated postpay ones start cbt this dates back to bt cellnet
i can tell you the pac prefix of any network and its origins as it is what i do for a livingthings arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok
