really sorry to hear things have gone backwards a bit pap, I agree talk to your doctor, maybe try going to a different one in the practise? and of course we're happy to help you and listen.

Katsu, the nurse said to take painkillers too, I'll be dosing up!

I've got the booklet through for gteting my next motability car, so much to choose from!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
  • Thanks so much all :j

Katsu, I heard that before so I will definately invest in some of that too. I have been looking on my weight loss site and boots etc for recomendations. Well woman seems to be the favourite, but I think I may try boots ownbrand first :D

Pooky, thats a good point regarding GP's. I think I will go soon though as I do want some of my symptoms sorting. Pcos websites say Chromium, B vitamins, Zinc, Magnesium, Co-Enzyme Q10 and Garcinia cambogia are all 'needed' moreso if you have pcos so thats somewhere to start. We also need thee herbs, Agnus castus, Saw Palmetto and Milk Thistle... Not much then :rotfl:

Thanks Hug_by_Abfc.gif, its great to see even though your daughter are older they can still have fun.

LMC, Thanks :A, I stall have a look at holland and barrett to see if they are cheaper etc.

Thanks Jinky, Wannabe and Ames. Sometimes I just feel like I should deal with things alone. However I know how much support all of you offer, I just sometimes wich I would speak up more often :o I will certainly try a vit tablet, you can't overdose on vit & minerals so I should be fine.

    Thanks all :A

pap - things like chromium are recommended for diabetes so you might want to have a look at the vitamins marketed for diabetics - there are at least two specially packaged versions. Big white boxes - I have one here called Diabion It might be cheaper to take them and just take separate evening primrose oil/starflower oil than to take the womens vitamins and separate chromium etc.

Go to Boots to check the packets out and check the advantage card machine and magazine for offers on vitamins. I got well woman and diabetic ones a few months ago on 3 for 2 - which is a good saving as they cost around £10pcm. Mr T also sells the wellwoman pills so the supermarket may be cheapest if you go for them?

Pap, you can overdose on some vits and minerals. Iron's really bad if you take too much of it, I don't know about others though.

Thanks Katsu, pcos and diabetics are interlinked so I guess thats why its pointing me towards more vit/min associated with that. Would have never know otherwise so thank you.

So after looking at H&B labels and boots online it would appear that wellwoman has all but Garcinia cambogia and the herbs listed. I am not really worried about Garcinia cambogia as it only helps with sugar cravings really.

It doesnt work out too bad really, wellwoman £7.99 (30 days), Agnus castus £6.15 (25 days), Saw Palmetto £8.99 (50 days) and milk thistle £5.49 (50 days) = £28.17

Thanks Ames, I don't think I get much iron in my diet anyways. I have stopped eating red meat and I certainly don't eat liver etc. Must look into it before I buy anything. I can't afford anything till payday anyways so have a few weeks to look into this :)

Pap, would it be worth while investing instead in a book which tells you which vits you get from vegetables so you could include them in your meals, and still be low calorie? Green veg are good for iron.

Scaredy thanks, I have pcos diet book that someone on here sent me and it does point out places where you can find natural vit/supplements. However some of the B vitamins and things like Agnus castus (chasteberry) are only avalible in supplement form. I think I need to read this part of the book again and decide which ones I definately need because this book lists atleast 40 to try  Maybe I should go and see someone to know what to take etc, should heve listen to Pooky :o The only ones I have found in CD that are also benifical for PCOS are Zinc, Chromium, B6 & B12... Its a minefield :rotfl:
