            Morning everyone,
It's a tad dark and over cast here, so no doubt it will rain later.
Katsu - how's your face today?
Ellimoo - hope your little boy feels better soon.
well today I shall do some studying! Plus I've been sleep walking again, that's the only way I can explain the scab on my shin, not sure about the bruise that's appeared on the end of my nose - I must have hit myself at some point last week!!
Have a great day everyone.

Morning Elliemoo and Katsu and LMC and Pooky!
Morning anyone else I may have missed.
Nice to see you Wannabe!
Katsu-where is your acne mainly? Those topical treatments are not great in my opinion, all they do is burn the face. Acne is usually a symptom of something and comes from 'within' iykwim and is usually treated better via treatments that address the reason WHY its there. Acne located around the mouth/chin area is hormone related as an example. When you use harsh treatments (usually supplied by a Dr!) they burn the skin and break down the natural lipid layer (fats/oils) on the skin and anything else you use will reach a deeper level than it should which is why you have had a 'reaction'. Personally, I have found (and I suffered from acne on my back for years) that really gentle treatment works best. V imp to keep clean with soap free gentle cleansers, light oil free moisturisers etc. Also, trying an actual OIL designed for oily skin helps (Clarins/Decleor do then and I am sure there are others) as the school of thought goes, putting oil on oily skin stops it from over producing its own. Worth a shot? Sorry if you have tried all this honey...I dont want you to think I am teaching you to suck eggs.
Pap-why not just have a Cambridge shake a day with skin milk for breakfast then you will be getting balanced vits/minerals? Lots of people do that once they have reached goal.
I used to have iron problems and the best thing I found were these liquid supplements from H&B-and they didnt bung you up. Broccoli is excellent for iron as well...you dont need red meat to get iron! (Although I love a good steak, lol)
Still nice here. When the kids wake up, I think we will go to Ironbridge...Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -

            Morning all.
Thanks for your concern LMC and Bunny. I still have a prickly/burning sensation under my eyes and swollen eyes (possibly more swollen at the top but less at the bottom IYSWIM) but other than that I think it is looking better than yesterday (DH agrees but says I still look red).
Bunny - helpful I assure you. The issue for me is I have such dry skin, not oily skin, but still get breakouts. The problem is mainly the chin and mouth area - would going back on vitamin pills help? I have started it too alll over my forehead, so I applied the cream there too for the first time 2 days ago.
I think part of the problem is that when I washed my face yesterday I washed the remains of the previous night's antibiotic treatment all over my face. I was extra careful about that today.
Bunny - what you said about it making creams work too far down made so much sense, I had not realised how the antibiotics work, so thanks.
I'm just desperate. I need to clear the spots as without some treatment I get painful huge whiteheads on my face. It affects my confidence and is just hideous. I used this cream for about 4 months (Nov to end March) it seemed better so I did not get a repeat prescription but after a few weeks the whiteheads started returning on my chin.
Ive got dermalogica pre-cleanse oil which has olive and kabuki oil in it, so I've used that for a cleanser today. I really like lots of their stuff but it had done nothing to clear up/stop the acne developing, so I guess I felt it wasn't enough.
The GP's did briefly question PCOS - but dropped it as I can't comment on my reproductive cycle (I have a mirena) and he decided I wasn't hairy enough (every cloud has a silver lining?
). I'm also an OK weight for my height.
I don't think the mirena is a factor as I've had over 10yrs of using them, and TBH they've transformed my mood situation so much that I'd rather boil my face with antibiotics than have my mirena removed
. This adult acne problem started last autumn, so it must be something else causing it.
I've also got a hideous cold sore so I look really attractive today - red face, big puffy eyes and cold sore blisters.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -

            Morning everyone
I am really concerned about OH's back, he has been in constant pain for over 3 weeks now, he needs to go to the doctors and get a referral to a physio or something. He has luckily got private medical insurance with his work but the silly man wont take time off to go and get himself sorted:mad:
Jinks.......big hugs hun and I hope your Gran starts to get better soon:grouphug:
I feel a bit sad about the daily chat, its been so quiet and lots of people are not posting......come back everyone:(
On a brighter note its my neices 4th Birthday today so I am off this afternoon to take her a fabby Monsoon little girls bag which I have filled with sparkly hair clips, bobbles and girls jewellry. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0
