Oh Lou, I am so excited for you!
We are planning our next big holiday-looking to fly to NS and stay there for a week or so then rent an RV and drive up through Quebec and back to TO to see my family there...will need a month for that one, LOL

    Bunny,

Thanks for your advice and reassurance (and thanks Pooky - I can't work out a food element for me).

I got excited to try the LE stuff and like the feeling it gave me on my skin was good (it often feels very dry after washing but is difficult to get moisturised to the right level) - the spots were starting to return before I tried it, but I could see the cleanser was doing nothing to stop them returning. After the state of my face yesterday I've not used either of the LE products, they may be too much with the antibiotic perhaps?

Trying something that is not brand new is no problem to me, I'd be grateful for the chance to try it and have no problem with the sharing opened ones. I'm desperate to beat this hideous skin issue. If you think it is worth a try I'd love to try the stuff you have.

I know my skin settled down last time on the antibiotics within a few weeks to stop being so red and sore, and I can see the spots are better already, I just can't use it for ever.

I've not used foundation since last year, tinted moisturiser or blusher.

I like lots of the dermalogica stuff - they actually make a facial "scrub" which is gentle enough for my dry skin. The only thing I didn't like was their moisturisers are very pricy and the cleanser didn't seem to be getting the pores clean enough as they still looked blocked. I stopped going for their facials - maybe I should accept the expense and go back?

At the moment I've gone back to applying australian body care tea tree body lotion which I used alongside the antibiotic cream before. My beautician who does my waxing sold it to me for my legs! :D She told me this week that she thought it was possibly too harsh for my face.

I should stop rambling now :o

Hope hol is fab Lou. Bunny - sounds like an amazing trip.

DH and I have started to talk about having a proper holiday - I need to balance my desire to make mortgage OPs against it tho :D I just need to work out a proper budget and some moderation.

tea tree is a natural anticesptic. Thats why it is probably helping. Facials are good I think. I love Clarins but then, I used to work for them and think their facials are incredible. I know dermologica is good too but agree about the price.

PM me your address KAtsu and I will post oil for you to try. x

    That sounds amazing Bun.

This will be our last BIG holiday as a family I reckon for a good few years , perhaps forever as the boys are 15 and 17 this year. We are concentrating on getting shot of the mortgage by 12/12/12 so next year and the year after will be budget city Arizona holidays:D

Saving up all my clubcard vouchers to put towards whatever we end up doing. Probably France in a tent......Wine, fresh pastries on a morning, brie and baguettes......*sigh*
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

morning everyone - lovely sunny day here but I'm going into work!! had a terrible day on Friday so going in today to try to get some stuff done that should have been done last week and prepare for tomorrows PDR! I have to convince my boss that the extra responsibility i took on th March warrants my job description being re-written and re-banded with a 9k pay rise! can't get motivated to move though!!

Fresh food in France sounds really nice Lou. I've only been there once, to Brittany (I keep wanting to go to Paris with DH) and I enjoyed it.

Bunny - thanks heaps. Have sent PM. Is clarins cheaper than dermalogica? Do you think it is OK to mix stuff from different ranges or is it better to use everything from one brand? Saying that, I can't imagine giving up the dermalogica face scrub as I've never found a different one that was gentle enough for me whilst actually having a scrubbing effect! :D

good luck Judi - hope all goes OK. A £9k rise would be pretty transformational for you in terms of DFW and budgetting. I got a decent rise when I moved jobs (never £9k tho) and it really helped. The last two job changes have really helped lift our income and thus helped us defeat our debt. Without them I could not be looking at starting to save and make mortgage OPs.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you... except when driving, eating, typing here... oh well, it is the thought that counts, right? ;):D

Being without bread is hard, I love bread but by cutting the bread I can just about tolerate wine (in small doses)....I can now recognise when my body has had enough and when I do lapse with bread I'm bloaty, spotty, consitpated and have dire indigestion for day afterwards.

Katsu - I don't use anything aside from water and a flannel to clean my face, use witch hazel as a toner and then a basic aqueous cream as a moisturiser which seems to be doing the job well at the moment.

Judi, 9k would motivate me! lol

No worries Katsu, I hope it helps. I mix and match to be fair, they 'say' its best to stay with one range but I say, if it works, who cares!?! Clarins/Derma about the same I think...

I love France, have had a fews hols there...loved the Dordogne region-loved loved loved it!
