Kel my step mum often gives us eggs as she gets them delivered by the egg man every weekend. She doesnt need the eggs but doesnt have the heart to tell the egg man not to come, he has been for the last 20 odd years and she feels guilty....bless.0

Hi Alll
Have just been catching up with the thread... I always have loads of things i want to say to people after readin gtheir threads and then never can remember who it is that i want to say the things to by the time i get to the end!!!
DOH
Triangle - I have to say I think you are amazing with your deturmination and committment to your studying - It really does show that anything is possile if you really put your mind to it and I really hope you do really well - you deserve all the sucess in the world.
Rach - Which ever school does have the sense to appoint you will be a lucky one in my mind!! Teaching is such hard work and you are so committed I know you're going to be fab. Incidently ( I don't know if i can be of any use to you but I work for a LA as part of the primary school improvement ( i interview teachers / head teachers for primary jobs ) and work closely with the secondary team. If I can help in anyway with the interview just shout!
Cleos mum - noticed your doing SW ( i'm trying) - just seeing that you're doing it has kept me on track today!! ( I've not been very motivated up until this week but have made a real effort with it this week so am hopeful for a loss tomorrow. ( fingers crossed)
Determined - With everything you are coping with at the moment it puts my pitiful worries into perspective - I think its a fab idea to plan time in for yourself - it will help you support your daugter better in the long run!!
And finally - who ever suggested to rach about the spa - thats such a fab idea - i've never even thought about looking at lastminute but will be seeing if there are any offers coming up!!Baby due 4th May 2013

I am desperate for support! I have really struggled to stay at target since last summer and am now well out. I need to lose 10lb to get back into range and 13lb to get back on target  I put on a shocking 4lb in the last fortnight, despite sticking to it for the 2nd week and realising that 1 more pound would take me to a stone over target and a new stone zone was enough of a kick to motivate me
I hope WI tomorrow is good, let me know, and feel free to message me if you need some support or inspiration :beer:0 -
And now for my list....
Have had quite a productive weekend... had people over last night and managed to not spend any money on beer ( as already had left over from very expensive BBQ few weeks ago. Made Chillli and used all ingredients out of freezer and cupboard so that was great. Had a super dooper night!!
Went shopping yesterday and got ham for the week ( a rare treat - its paste paste paste for us!!) as it was reduced to 79p - OH delighted - poor love- the small things!! A few months ( well before Jan) wouldn't have thought twice about it but now we are always on budget butties - paste , egg mayo , tuna mayo ( fat free fromage frais for me - SW) .
Have tidied whole house and tomorro i will clean all the floors etc and finish drying the 6 loads of washing i've done -- ooh yes and my free ariel lift off arrived!! Am goign to use on special washes - those that are really bad!! ( have pretty much run out of washing powder now but can't buy any more for a week so its a spoon in each wash this week!!)
OOOH and have checked banking and made an overpayment on loan on friday so its now under 2000 - I am so pleased I am finally in sight of paying it off.. No where near debt free but i still can't wait to just clear it and see the progress i've made. Its such a big thing for me to still be working on this and coming on this site because i'm one of those who has all the plans and never sticks to them because something always comes along but since Jan I have really been on track ( a few glitches like the expensive BBQ but other than that I'm really proud of myself) .
I think i have taken up quite enough space on this thread for this evening - I'm sure there are lots more things i can report on .. but i'll leave it for tomorrow!! Planning to have a good lie in tomorrow and then clean clean clean, meal plan plan plan!!
Nitie night lovely ladies - see you all tomorrow - hope you're all off work - and if not I hope you're getting double time!!! xxxBaby due 4th May 2013

AWW cleos mum... Its amazing that you got to target last summer - My target is so far away I don't think i'll ever get there!! I have 4 stone to lose at least, which i thought that becasue i was so much over weight it would come off quickly - I lost 7.5 lb in the 1st 3 weeks and then I had time off work - 2 weeks and went to wales and didn't stick to SW - although I wasn't reallly bad - I went back after missing 2 weeks and had put it all back on well 7 of it. I held it together for the meeting ( which was rubbish as they have a supply lady in who is not very interesting bless her - shes lovely but soo boring) I then went home and cried from 7.30 until i fell asleep at midnight... I was such a mess - it was so so hard to lose the 7 lb in the first place i jsut couln't believe it had all gone back on. My OH had no idea what to do as i'm not a cryer ( well i cry at films but never cry at sitiuations im in ). He just kept saying that it doesn't matter to him ( that didn't help!!) . The following week i didn't go - even though i hadn't been bad at all - i just couldn't face seeing the scales and have only just managed to get myself back there last week. Had lost 2.5 pounds which was ok as i had prepared myself to be the same or more. This week I have really tried hard. I've walked for 30 mins every single day and have stuck o the plan 95 % of the time. Its a similar thing with me and weight as it is with debt - I find long term projects extreemly hard to maintain as i lack patience and want instant results and get disheartened when i dont see them - or when i have worked reall really hard and lose 1 lb !! I know i shoudl be pleased because its a step in the right direction but still am disappointed! . I think I would have struggled at tea time today to keep on track - but reading your post gave me a shove in the right direction - I might post my meal plan each day on here and that might help me be organised - planning my jobs and recording my debt progress has really made a difference to me, and seeing that other people are in the same boat supports me so much more then i ever imagined it could.
Sorry again for the very long post - but i generally post late at night so i;m guessing not too many people are affected!!! xxxxxBaby due 4th May 2013

Hi folks
Keep reading your posts and am so impressed by all of your efforts. I was lucky enough to be able to pay off without too many extreme messures, but my saving is most definitely being inspired by you all, so 'thank you'.
Today I haven't been out so thats been a NSD for me - my first since joining the thread mid week!
Not sure I've actually saved anything today as the washer has been on etc, but NSD is good enough for me.
Thought I'd share a saying of my Dad's: 'money coming in is better than money going out. I wish I'd paid more attention in earlier years.:)Proud to have dealt with my debts:

I started SW in aug 07, 2nd time around! I had got to target before but put it all back on plus another half stone. I got to target this time back in march 2009. I managed to stay in target until sept 09 and life has just taken over really.
You are doing fine, life happens, you can just try and make the right food choices when things get a bit crap. Post up your food plan each day and we can spur each other on. My friend did SW the same time as me, I lost 2 and a half stone, she lost 5 stone, I only tend to lose 1lb or 1.5lb a week on a good week, she has much bigger losses. If you set your mind to it then you can do it too0 -
Hi all
Good to see people having a good bank hols and posting loads..
This weekend I:
-checked online banking - all ok, but as others will know need to be careful the spend has gone up again recently despite the recording of spend etc etc - have had some big spends such as a new van and a small car..all mounts up even on insurance as we have to park on the road
-did loads of tidying and rubbish removal with kids..did it make a big impression..not sure...but finally made me feel better and don't think I shouted at the kids TOO much..:p
- applied for a new credit card with air miles..wondering about a big trip next year and if we can get some free tickets that'd be great. I travel a lot for work so you never know it may work out. I will pay off every month - have got into habit of that now and won't be going back..
- made good HM food for me and kids - including making hollandaise sauce..quite an event I can tell you (OH away for work for 10 days)
- skyped OH..yesterday and today. It worked well would really recommend it - esp with a web cam the kids were much more lively and chatty than if had just been the phone and of course its FREE!!:D
- started a new meal planner..think this is the way forward
- today was a very LSD..only £3.50 spent on swimming for me (thanks to a fairly enlightened council..well on this anyway..the children go free):D - kids had a whale of a time and I caught up with a friend I haven't seen properly in ages which was great.Yesterday was less good as got my hair cut and coloured but found out my hairdresser is moving to a cheaper salon so thats good. Also cos it was May Day there was loads of free stuff on..including our lovely Jack in the Green which DD1 spent all day processing about with!
BUT
Blooming pekin bantam has gone broody which will also put the rest off..agghh. Not great. Will have to heave/tip her off and she will not like that at all! I love the eggs but this is not part of the plan!
I was also planning to go shopping tomorrow but I think I will give it a miss as then the temptation to overpend is not there.. still need some things but I guess it can all wait....;)
Have a great bank hols tomorrow everyone who has tomorrow work free.. and commiserations to everyone that doesn't
