Wow Claire that's a really well organised list! Quantity wise quite similar to mine (although you've got way more haircare!) and I can see you love Body Shop and Lush as well :) Well done for being so organised and writing it all down :T

trudij - yes, I dread to think how much I've spent over the years but am focusing on the positive of how much I will save by using it all up:D

pinkandwhites - self confessed BS and Lush addict here:rotfl: Although in my defence I only buy from the BS when a glitch is on and/or there is a good discount code to be used. And thankfully I got Lush vouchers for xmas and used them when offers were on to get even more free stuff. And my haircare list didn't look so bad before that JF glitch at Tesco that i just had to take advantage of:D I've given up bootsing recently which has stopped my stash multiplying so fast, although the palmolive shower gels are whats still left of an online glitch about 2 years ago now:eek:

Oh and re ebay I tend to browse a lot and see what seems to be selling well before listing anything. If you search the completed listings on ebay you can see what has sold and for how much, so can weigh up whether its worth your while to list a particular item. HTH x

    Good Lord, that's an impressive list c l a i r e !

"21 x Palmolive cashmere shower gels" How many showers would you expect to get out of of one of those 21 bottles? That's seriously looking like a "no spend till Doomsday" list to me.

Now, if you hadn't bought all of that stash of booty and left the money in the bank and only bought what you really needed, how much would you have earning interest? I suspect this may be one searching question too far for the sorely afflicted.

I'm quite philosophical about it tbh, I have no real regrets apart from the fact I haven't got the enjoyment of using it all yet. I intend now to use it all up or gift some of it on. A lot of the stash is online glitches, boots clearance, presents/ bought with vouchers, bought much cheaper in the US etc so at least I know I didn't pay anywhere near as much for it all as I could have. The shower gels for example worked out to be practically free due to a price glitch/good points return/ being sent a duplicate order and told to keep it:rotfl: Toiletries are my guilty pleasure so I'll never completely stop buying non essentials, but I do intend on being more selective and in control from now in. I think thats a good first step:)

I've been lurking here since February, and I think it's time to sneak in and ask if I can join you. Inspired by C l a i r e 's stash, I will investigate my shelves of shame this week :o and see what I have in store (probably far less hair stuff and far more face stuff, but it's going to need a major excavation to see what's there).

For May, I'm targeting a flexible budget comprising a £10 voucher (from completing surveys) for any travel sized toiletries not contained in the shelves of shame plus any suncare I need as I'm off on hols on the 21st. No sense in crisping for the sake of a challenge.

I've been keeping a list of what I've used up since February. It's been good to have "permission" to use the nice stuff rather than save it for a rainy day/until it's gone off (which seems to be my usual trick). :o If it would be helpful, I'll list the used up items, in case the WIBA is useful for anyone?

    welcome new comers!

Used up: Toni & Guy Model Me Jamelia Affinity serum.

wiba? NO. Bought because it worked out cheaper per ml than Frizz ease. Its feels both lighter and less effective than frizz ease original (I used either original or extra strength) and the rather lovely square squat bottle means the serum lurks in corners and is hard to completely use up.

Anyway, between us DH and I just scraped in clean and got rid of it.

I have another one dose portion of another attempt to be unfaithful to frizz ease somewhere, I'm going to try and get rid of that this week too!

Avatar : the lot was neither here nor there, but it was visually beautiful. It changed the decor for the cupboard I keep my jewelery in. I could watch it over and over...in 3D...with the sound OFF.:o
