Morning all, hope you have a good day ahead of yourselves :)

I have used up a red dove conditioner (heat defence i think from googling it) WIBA i think it was just sitting in the bathroom don't think i've used it before but was pleasantly surprised with it this one time that i used it (just to finish it off!). I washed my hair before bed and went to bed with wet hair (bad i know) but woke up and it's soft and managable. It did set into waves again - i have no idea what is up with my hair at the moment, used to be straight now goes really wavy! - but straightened out really easily so after a long winded explanation lol YES i will buy again!

I managed to offload the rest (2 and a half bottles) of the Next liquer bubble bath gift set as they were horrid, i'd pour into the bath and gag so WIBA no, glad they were a gift and hope my friend likes them!!!!!

I bought an epilator yesterday and by gosh DOES IT STING!! I think i saw on an earlier monthly thread that you get used to the pain - well waxing doesn't make me blink and neither does plucking so hope i get used to this soon. On the plus side (i tried it on my forearms lol) my arms are lovely and silky smooth today just like waxing results, if i can grin and bear it i may become a convert...will try my thighs later and let you know how i get on :) . Eventually I want to be able to do underarms and bikini line (i sound machocistic!) but will be MSE as I won't be dishing out on waxing treatments.

I'm planning on giving the bedroom a clear out tonight and no doubt i'll find oodles more stuff hidden but i will be ruthless and may make a box of stuff i'll never use to be given away - eek

Well done on the change... you do get totally used to it. Even bikini lines etc eventually do become painless too! Saves so much money. Like waxing, do it a day before you want to get your legs out as the slight red tint isn't always the look you want! I realise you prolly know this... and I mention because I consistantly forget it after years of epilating!

One thing that I would recommend is tea tree after care lotion or similar. The tee tree (if it suits your skin) is very good at soothing and bringing down the redness... plus it helps stop ingrowing hairs. I'm sure you could just add a few drops to your normal light moisturiser instead of buying a pre-made product to cut price even more.

If you were to grow everything () and take it all off at the same time you could expect to be able to leave it for 4 weeks. I do mine so randomly it's probably 3 weeks then I have to get it again. Having said that, you can hardly see the hair when it grows back and can leave it for longer if you feel like it.

I could do with getting a new epliator as mine is getting wobbly now, so if you have a decent one that picks up teeny hairs you would have to do it less. What product did you get btw?

Thanks so much you've been a bundle of help!!
I got the Babyliss 8784U 2 smooth dual head epilator, definitely was effective last night didn't leave a hair behind!! i saw it was £60 odd on boots and the like but got it on a site ecohamster for £35 + quidco so was a happy bunny! it says it can pick up from a couple of mm and has 72 sets of tweezers which is double than others i looked at?? I will let you know how I get on with it tonight but the online reviews seemed good :)

Nice to be of assistance! :D

Yes, please do let me know if it's good - that's a great deal too! Some of them are so expensive. 72 pair of tweezers... my OH saw me epilate my legs for the first time the other day (we've been together 6 months almost so I figured he's allowed to be in the room!) and was quite worried I would try and get him with it! :rotfl: Men do NOT do well generally with these things! I do think women in general have higher pain thresholds - or we just bl@@dy get on and deal with it! I quite like the feeling now - it certainly fades out to a mild fresh sort of feeling!

Will look forward to an update!

Hi all, very quick post to say ive been to the body shop:eek:. But i was really good and came out with a sample of the vitamin c/ revitalising serum, cause think i do actually need to start using one despite my resistance to adding another facial product to my morning routine. Will see how i get on, anyone used it??

I'm skimming, so I haven't thanked, I hope to come back and read properly, but can any of the sesoned epilating girls help me? I bought an epilator and like it, am used to the pain on legs and pretty much underarms, and was tinkering with bikini line, not doing whole thing, but my epilator isn't plucking everything now....why? m I pressing too hard? Not hard enough? I don't think I'm going to fast, and I'm going in the right direction...

    any tips?

lol, I wince while I do it. I'm to much of a coward to try a clean sweep. I wince while doing underarms still, but its bearable, but annoying when its not plucking perfectly and you have to go over again.....and again, and again. The only comfort is you get number by the third or fourth swoop.
