No Buying Toiletries in May Challenge!!

Ooh, I remember seeing that being advertised last year but just figured it was greenwash, didn't realise they were paraben free! Also nice to know it's quite a thick one too, I have sensitive facial skin but quite dry skin everywhere else. Thanks for the info footymadgal!
These body lotions are on offer in Boots at the moment. Normal price is quite high at £4.99 but I didn't take much notice of what the offer was I'm afraid as I didn't want to be tempted! I wouldn't say that the lotion is particularly thick but it did seem to be effective on my skin.0 -

Hi. Back from hols with 'muchspending' on toiletries this month!! Treated myself to two perfumes whilst away - L'Air de temps (I know its an old one but I love it for summer!!!) and Pure(DKNY I think!!) Haven't bought perfume for ages so it was a holiday treat -and got a few free samples as well.
Also bought some Aloe Vera Gel - wonderful stuff. Never really bothered with it before but its all over the place in Tenerife and I needed something for mossie bites. Brilliant - no itching and faster healing. Great as aftersun as well. I'm a definite convert now.
Also used up some lingering mini bottles of shower gel and body lotion which I took away with us so quite a successful week really! Must now try not to buy anything that is not essential for the rest of the month!
Going to try to catch up with the threads now. Good Night All.Sealed Pot Challenge 2013 Member No 689 - £120/£300

Managed to finish up a cleanser and shower gel this morning, that's 11 and 75 left respectively and the cleanser total does take into account the LE one I took out of my stash for my hols in just over a week's time :j
My goodness 75 shower gels! I've got quite a few kicking around (not sure how many exactly!) but it's a small number in comparison. At least you won't need to buy any more for a while :rotfl:I feel all virtuous now, especially as I went in to Boots tonight armed with a No. 7 voucher and decided not to use it and came out with nothing! My guilty secret is that I've got tons of conditioner (mainly Herbal Essences from when there was a Boots glitch). I haven't faced up to counting them yet but will confess all on here soon!0 -

LiR- you'll get a shower eventually. I don't have a shower and I hate it. DH doesn't care but then he doesn't work nights so he has plenty of time in the evening to soak!
Was very good this morning, took my face off, and moisturised but forgot to put my day cream on tonightOh well, if I can get it right at one end of the day, there's hope for me yet! Nothing else used up a yet. Maybe by the end of next week?

First post on this thread but follower from Jan.
At long last have finished my Vaseline Cocoa Butter Body Lotion - WIBA - No - was ok when applying but when it sank in/dried did not like how it felt on my skin had a strange feeling. Bad news I have at least another 8 of these left  For now they are going to stay there as am going to try and finish something different next.0 -
I've used up all of my body lotion sachets and can go back to using my many body butters and lotions. In the next couple of days I should use up a Boots Extracts bergamot body butter (it is one of my favourites). I've got more Boots body butter to use but not sure that I've got more of this fragrance - boo. I'll have to have a good rummage to check. I tend to have a few lotions on the go at any one time as I like variety.
I am concentrating now on using up hand lotion sachets. I've taken these on holiday before now but because of applying sun cream daily I find that your hands get moisturised in this way. The sachets always come home with me and so I'm going to use them up at work in the next few days. I keep hand cream everywhere: in a drawer downstairs, in my bedside drawer, in a drawer at work and in my handbag!0 -
Howdy ho all,oh - and how good am I.... I went out on a jolly for work, stopped for fuel, picked up a whispa and PUT IT BACK !!!! ( I know- this should be on Tara's chocolate thread!!)
muchowing - totally agree with the Aloe thing - it's lovely stuff. Ahh, I miss my Tenerife tan! Hi akh43, tis a great thread isn't it? footymadgal - I am also a hand-cream fanatic... even the boys in the office know where to find hand cream if they need it!
I took pics of ALL... oh my... woozy... all my products so I could record them into a list today. Well. I'm very lucky to have so many products at my disposal I suppose! Must get using and definitely can avoid buying anything new for a while. To think I thought I was running low on things... as if I was!
Happy day everyone0 -
Good Morning. You just reminded me that I have a stash of samples in a basket on shelf in the bathroom - put them there so I would use them up. Been there for about two months now! Got all sorts of things to try - don't know wether to keep them for hols or use now. I suppose the idea of this challenge is to use things up so I'd better start getting rid of them!!Sealed Pot Challenge 2013 Member No 689 - £120/£300
