I only joined this thread on 3rd May and have to confess that I have already been semi-naughty. I had to go to the shops after work today to get a birthday present (vouchers). I had planned to buy a tube of Vitamin E tinted moisturiser £9 from the BS for myself but it was on offer 3 for 2 and so I came back with more than I had planned to. I used my £5 off voucher and so got three tubes for £13 which was a good buy. I already have half a tube in my makeup bag, so will take one tube to put in my makeup bag at work and will add the other two to my stash.

High on an adrenaline rush I then found myself in Boots. I was planning to treat myself to Natural Collection face wipes (which I adore) as there is an offer of 250 points when you spend £5 on NC but they hadn't got any wipes in stock which was just as well as I have about 6 packs of Tesco Vitamin E wipes to use up! I ended up buying 2 Scholl Party Feet foot files which are on offer BOGOHP, so £4.49 + £2.24 = £6.73 as I love these and the one I am currently using will need throwing out soon and I only have one other hoarded away. I got a £5 No 7 voucher and have saved that for another day. It could have been worse as I was also looking at the foot creams which are on offer (I love pampering my feet) but managed to find some willpower to help me resist as I have products to use up.

I noticed that the nice 'n easy hair colours are 2 for £8 at the moment and it reminded me that I need to buy one for later in the month. I have got two hair colours I could use up but they are both shades I haven't tried before and I am going to a party at the end of the month and don't really want to be experimenting with new colours beforehand just in case I'm not keen. Anyway, I will try to leave it another week or two, it will be something to buy when I'm feeling in need of a trip to the shops.

:jIs very excited as magazine spends don't count in the toiletry challenge:j

They do if the only reason you purchased them was for the freebie! Or if you buy 3 copies of the same magazine so you can get all 3 freebies:o (which I will possibly be doing next month:lipsrseal)

Yesterday's purchase was covered by a giftcard, so tecnically no-spend.

I also spent-money-to-save-money, buying an Eyelure eyebrow tint kit, never used before) This cost £6.99 for 12 applications and since it costs me a fiver to have eyebrows tinted and it never lasts very long anyway, is an MS purchase.

Used my £5 Telegraph BS voucher towards more Hemp Hand Protector, which is now a staple.

Finished the dreg of DD's large brunette Pantene shampoo last night. She's got long straight fine hair and has gone onto this Herbal Essences Body Envy volumising one

    http://www.herbalessences.com/us/collections/body_envy/shampoo.jsp

which she says she likes and bought it BOGOF at Tesco I think. Will pinch a bit tonight and see.

In case any newbies are wondering why I mostly talk about buying and not using-up, most of my stash has gone now, excepting body lotions/butters and a few other bits. This thread is helpful for me to keep disciplined and thoughtful about the things that I do buy!!:D

Ooh, will you do a review of the eyebrow tint please Bronnie? I want to have mine tinted as they are quite fair and I have quite dark hair (thinking about going blonde-ish though!) and do't really be wanting to pay £10 a time if it doesn't last very long!

Im PROPER curly when it feels like it - and I LOVE it !! I bought a load of tresemee hair smoothers and straightening thinngs about 2 years ago on ebay - and if I put them on, and leave it to dry, it goes all ringlety and soft... :)

Got my Glamour mag yesterday, and looking through it,I have to report that next month I will fail in my quest - they are giving away benefit make up worth 14.50 (cant remember what it was though - think was eye pencils and a coverup??) 3 different types with the mag.... that'll be 3 copies (4 if Im still "subscribing" !!) coming my way then....

OOOOOH - and guess who text me last night all full of apologies..... AARRSSEE !!!

    Stupid man!

LiR, I have hair that goes either way depending on what I use :D. I've just finished off an Umberto Gianni salt spray texturiser that worked a treat, not sure if they still make it though as I've had it a while :rotfl:. Gonna start on a UG curl friends gel thing in a pink bottle tomorrow so will report back if that's any good!

Have also used a Simple toner (not that fussed, all toners seem to do the same thing) and yucky Body Shop banana conditioner (nope, never again!) and an Adidas body spray (not that nice)

One more 11 hour shift and then 4 days off, yay! OH is away for work overnight tomorrow though so will be kinda happy and kinda sad! :o

Have finished another Corsodyl daily mouthwash. WIBA? Yes, cos the dentist told me to, but I have 2 more to use up. (This is the part of my stash I object to using up as it's expensive and I know I need to re-buy it.)

    Hello newbies.
I've not used up anything more. I didn't have a bath tonight as I'm at work and I was so tired earlier that I went to bed for a bit before my night shift. I'll have a bath tomorrow but doubt there'll be any use ups.
    See you tomorrow.

    Will do!!

Persuaded DD to wax my eyebrows first tonight. Should've done the tint first really, but it was late and thought I'd take her up on the offer while she was in the mood!! She has this kit in her stash

http://www.veet.ca/en/veet-high-precision-facial-wax.php costs £5.59 in Boots. The wax is in a little tube like a Juicy Tube lipgloss, which you warm in a cup of hot water. Very easy to use.She does her own and I must admit she did mine really efficiently. ( Haven't checked the mirror yet though ).

Will have ago with the tint tomorrow, although I think you're s'posed to wait a bit longer after . Would get lots of waxes and tints for the price of one salon one, if the results are OK.
