Spent a while doing some checks on the NSD page of my accounts spreadsheet this evening, to see how things compared to last year (and when I'm likely to be able to start counting total NSDs rather than ignoring the regular bill payments, while still managing to match/better my counts).

So far this year it stacks up as

Month - 2009 NSDs (food & drink only) / 2010 NSDs (everything except regular bills) / 2010 Total NSDS (including regular bills)
    January - 10 / 14 / 10
    February - 6 / 17 / 15
    March - 6 / 16 / 12
    April - 12 / 12 / 10
    May (2010 figures open to change over the next week) - 15 / 18 / 16

and, going forward, the figures I'm aiming to beat for the rest of the year are

Month - 2009 NSDs (food & drink only)
    June - 12
    July - 17
    August - 10
    September - 11
    October - 15
    November - 8
    December - 7

So this shows that this year I've bettered last years figures (with the exception of April, which I matched), even though I've also included toiletries, cleaning products and 'others' (things like clothes, CDs, DVDs) in my 2010 counts

Looks like July is going to be a tough one to beat though - especially if I try switching to using Total NSDs by then, which I was hoping to do at the mid-way point of the year  Was confused as to how I'd managed so many last July, but it was when our local S/flds had closed for a refit prior to re-opening as a Mr M (last spend in S/flds was 13th April, and first in Mr M was 26th July) so we didn't have a local cheap supermarket - and I'm actually surprised I didn't do better than I did in June

I'm nowhere near as worried about October though, as DS will have moved out by then - and I'll happily eat up stuff I have in my stockpile / freezers in order to avoid spending unless a regular payment is due ;) If I only shop for anything on regular payment dates, then I reckon from September onwards I should be able to aim for 20+ Total NSDs each month !!!!

Tomorrow should be 13, as Pint gave me some money, and I've an allowable up to £15 spend as I have the GP tomorrow morning (I hate to go, so this is my impetus to go)
    ** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **
    ** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
    **SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

Report my NSD number 13 Spoon - we did go out this morning to friends and called to look in at auction - but resisted the urge to call at Mr T's on way back and there was nothing at the auction we wanted so no need to leave a bid. I'm OK for the next couple of days so 2 more NSD's on their way :D

Thank you for your support, I'm not excepting to hear anything today, maybe tomorrow. I feel less anxious after a nights rest. Would love to say sleep but DD had me up most of the night feeding and when she wasn't feeding she was sitting up stroking me, their was little point putting her back in her cot as she just screamed, which would of woken everybody.

We explained to our builders yesterday about the problems with the mortgage and to say we had no money to pay them for any work carried out from today (tuesday) until the money comes through, we felt this was best so the could decide to stop working as we can't pay. The said they will work the rest of the week, they are away on their holidays next week and to pay when we can. I hope the money comes through so I can pay them as normal as apart from the fact they have done the work are great guys who over the last 2 years I've got to know very well.
    Hi BB
Lovely builders - that kind of thing restores your faith in human nature - there are still some good people around:T

Glad you're feeling a bit less stressed. Hoping you get some good news soon.

Morning everyone , well it's pouring here this morning. On the plus side, I managed to get the dog walked before the rain came on!
Managed another yesterday, even though I was having lunch with a friend. She paid! I was delighted!:) Up to 9 now, with a bit of luck I will make it to the finish line!:)
Today will be another, even though I've an ebay package to post. I reckon that doesnt count as the buyer has paid the postage.
Knitting has hit a wall - after learning how to pick up stitches, I was knitting away merrily and discovered I had miscounted. It all had to come out aaaargh! I am giving it a rest today and tomorrow, when Im off ( and calmer) I'll tackle it again. Its all part of the learning process I guess, Im sure the knitters out there will understand! Still it keeps me from going out to the shops!;)

Well done to all - everyone is doing really well, have a great day!:j
