And as it's payday, for the first time in my working life instead of spending, I'm going to purposely not spend to kick me out of my old habits.
:T Well done :T
Have been at home today with DD & DS1. They've caught DS2's lergy:mad:. I've got to miss another day off work tomorrow as DS1 will be off tomorrow as well :mad:.........was told I will have to either make up the hours or lose the pay. Was expecting this anyway so not too bothered, why should they pay me when my children are ill, not me?
I will be taking the pay cut as I don't have enough hours free in the week to work more! and then DH said he would give me the money I've lost. What an :A.
DD has now made up with her bullies :T. Seems it was a bit of a misunderstanding.

My 6th NSD gooooo me
I feel rather stupid feeling so chuffed that I haven't spent any money, but I'm chuffed to bits with my control, so I've met my little target which for a just pop to As*a everyday for a just one thing and coming out with a bagful is an achievement, so now I'm curious, how many more NSD's this month do I need to clock up to get a dancing banana? My month ends on the 27th so from the 28th can you put me down for 14 please Spoon

Number 12 for me today at last!! Will have to try really hard this week, as the weekend is filling up fast with things which will involve me spending money
Only 3 more to get, I will be so cross with myself if I dont make it to my target! xxTrying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon .... :cool:0 -
Hi everyone, wow there sure are some serious targets being smashed this month. I'm keeping my fingers crossed (and my purse closed) hoping that I can hit my target this month. NSD No. 21 for me today. I sure do want one of those dancing elephants. I'm going to watch SATC2 on Friday evening with a friend and we are going to top the evening off with cocktails and dinner. Hmmm I wonder how I can make that an MSE evening . Keep up the good work everyone - I'm so impressed with all the elephants and dancing bananas.Save £12k in 2017 #14

Told DH we could now go at the peak times on the fast train and it wasn't going to cost us a penny and he was gobsmacked, he didn't realise I'd been saving them for ages, so now we won't have to pay ferry or chunnel fares and we have more pennies to spend on our hols, I feel really chuffed, made me wonder though does spending vouchers count as a spend day or not?

Not been here since Saturday...picked up NSDs on Sunday and today...so...
I have reached my target of 15 NDSs today!!! :j:j
Spoon I think I will revise my target up to 18 NSDs, and hope that I will get there...possible??! I too fancy a bopping banana!!
Now all I have got to do is try to spend less on the days I do open the purse...much more difficult!
I had a fab day yesterday, buying some clothes at M&Co...on the large side, so it's this or Evans...(which is in the big town with lots of expensive parking). I went in for a couple of new tops to go with a skirt I haven't worn for two years...ended up getting two tops, a skirt and a cardigan...all reduced...also didn't pay, as found my club-card..which also gave me a further £5 discount...result!! I will pay it off in full when the bill comes in...but it is the first time I have bought clothes for myself in months, and some were smaller sizes too...really pleased.
The damson tree is down (but not gone), thanks for asking Spoon The big bits will be cut up and stacked for us to burn next winter...the twiggy bits will be shredded or burned, depending who gets there first (I shred, DH burns!!)....it is such a HUGE pile(loads of clematis climbing all over it), that I think both approaches will be needed!
Off to bed soon as have another morning at work tomorrow...and Thursday too...worked this evening as well ...so beginning to flag a bit. The toe is bearing up a pretty well, just waiting for the nail to come off now:o
At least it has cooled down quite a bit today, so less tired.
Have a grat few days...off now to update/change my siggy...then of to bed, night, night xxxx
